Well I just posted a thread like this today and now I cannot find it even looked at all my "recent posts" page and nodda! ANyways Ive been a master swordsman for a while and to be honest swordsman is great but the speed attachments make it even so much better! On out server a +4 TwoHanded Speed CA or AA costs 5-6 million credits! Same for rfilemen/women and pikemen/women so here is my suggestion.

  • CAs and AAs can now be removed from clothing items but take up space (example: a shirt has 2 CAs which equals 3 space slots in total)

  • Once the clothing item reaches 0 condition the CA or AA is deleted with the item

  • CAs and AAs stop working once the clothing item reaches 300 condition (this will improve business for tailors)

  • Bio enhanced clothing will have AAs and CAs working till 1 condition

This may be a challenge to code but something has to be done with the 1.5 million per 1 point of speed or accuracy!

Im not a tailor!

Plz post constructive suggestions! thank you!

I don't think this will "fix" prices, if they even need fixing, but I like these ideas.

- Colonel Sharell Teope - Carbine Specialist - Officer - Blue Squadron Pilot -
- Senator Shay'la Teope - Master Composer - Businesswoman - Retired -
- Agent Shiar'a Teope - Saboteur - Slicer -
- Field Agent Dossier(Rebel Quest Guide)(Pre-NGE) -

U r right Leanna but to be honest I now c the mistake I have made. Well I heard the upcopming patches are gonna make it so that shirts clothing items and even ubese shirts and bandos will have condition which they do not now and those that already do and dont yet will be deleted once the condition reaches 0. Which in my opinion then the prices will go much higher since u will need to buy them more often. For some reason I thought every1 knew that. Its true tho as it is now the prices wont be reduced with my suggestionbut the whole ability to remove SEAs and instead have htem taking up space in ur inventory seems like a fair suggestion , just like crystals in a saber, u can change color or clear crystals w/e u want.

Only way to fix CA and AA prices is to delete every last one of them, attached or loose, and then start over with some kind of limit to the number you can have in your possession/bank/house/vendor.

I really can't see that happening. As for a new player, well, they are just going to have to get lucky or have a generous friend, or earn the cash to buy 'em.

that would be very hard to implement Nitemare and think about all the pissed of people who pay to have their things deleted, wont happen, not flaming but its just not reality and will be extremely hard to code!

That's a great idea, but there should be some kind of warning when pieces that contain SEAs are near 0 condition, because losing the valuable ones, even if they're worth less, is still bad.

Wait, wait... Are you trying to make these things more expensive or cheaper?

Lol Im trying to make these cheaper cause I can afford them cause ive been playing since start but newbies and even those who have been playing for 3-5 months still cant afford to just spend 6 mill when armor is so expensive, food daily buffs and such!

I was sure you were going to suggest some socialist way of "fixing" prices. The truth of the matter is that prices are not broken and do not need "fixed". I was pleased that your idea did not suggest some drakonean restrictions.

Now from a general standpoint, supply and demand is what dictates the prices. The demand is much higher than supply. The simplest way is to increase supply and prices will drop. On one hand this is simple, on the other, attachments are supposed to be rare. They are not supposed to be easily available for new characters. If everyone has them then they have no value. It is a balance act and if the devs feel the number of attachments is the correct amount then the prices are effected accordingly and will be high.

  • CAs and AAs can now be removed from clothing items but take up space (example: a shirt has 2 CAs which equals 3 space slots in total)

I dont see this affecting supply that much. The only people who would want to remove an attachment would be those who no longer need that. In general, most people with attachments would want to keep them and will not be removing them. Thus the supply would not be increased by an appreciable amount.

  • Once the clothing item reaches 0 condition the CA or AA is deleted with the item
  • CAs and AAs stop working once the clothing item reaches 300 condition (this will improve business for tailors)
  • Bio enhanced clothing will have AAs and CAs working till 1 condition

These three options would result in reducing the supply and with the demand so high, this would result in increasing prices as those toons that had attachments would be required to seek out more in the furture. Thus purchasing attachments would not remove you from the demand side of the equation and the destruction of the attachment would lower the supply side.

The question we really need to ask, is the number of attachments sufficient based on the exepected rarity. Things dont have to be inexpensive. If an item is rare it should be expensive and markets will dictate what that price should be.

This would decrease demand a bit. If i could to move my +5 rifle speed out of my 1 socket shirt into another one I wouldnt have to buy another. This would also increase supply because It would be more tempting to pull it out and sell it for 5 mil than to sell the shirt for less.

I don't really seen prices as "broke". But that's what anyone with over 10 mil would say.

Good post and some good constructive ideas there. Although there is a much simpler fix to making CA/AAs go down in price, and it would take a fraction of the time to code. Are you ready, listen up here Devs...

Remove Broken/Out-of-Date/Useless skill mods.

Think about it. If every SEA you picked up could be used by someone in the game then you could trade for what you want, and there would be a good number more of what you want too. As it stands right now, maybe one out of every 3 or 4 SEAs I loot is useful to someone and can be sold. I cant even begin to count the number of Taking Cover, or Polearm EvasionAAs I've looted, while I can count the number of useful attachments I've looted on one hand. Just my 2credits though.
