Thread: Friday Feature March 4th – New Desktop Wallpaper!
Yeah, you're right. Since things didn't go exatly the way YOU wanted, the team is doing a horrible job and ought to be flogged. Schedules change all the time and they are not obligated to do anything but provide you with a service, which they are.

You are either TH or his biggest fan ever. I will congratulate them when they do something right, I have in the past and HOPE to in the future. If they do something wrong, they need to be held accountable, and frankly, he put his foot in it this time whether you want to admit it or not. He is a talking head who is guilty of one thing...speaking out of turn of his bosses. He said he would let us know about the delay and hasn't. You don't feel it should be something to be held to? A real man wouldn't give his word about something and back down from it either.
Can you honestly not see the error or the slap in the face this awful Friday Feature was? Three new wallpapers, two of which any boob with Photoshop and SWG could have made, and one which has no actual bearing on JTL at all? I have heard of fans, but by God man, you are being downright delusional. Let's see what other services you pay for....these are guesses mind you, cell phone, home phone, cable, electricity, water, gas, insurance mortgage and car? If one of these companies went back on something they said you would be receiving, can you say you would not be irate?
Face it, this is another service that WE pay for so a certain degree of responsibility goes with the service rendered. We pay for a place to unwind, we pay for customer service(Which has been improving) and we pay for some form of communication with the team who brings us these things. How many months ago was it that TH's boss(wonder why they gave him a boss and not Q when he was running the show?) Calandryl said that communication would be improving.
Face it, before this patch hit, the team was well and truly on the right path to making this game infinitely better. Aside from the GCW changes, this patch was a HUGE backstep. Everyone loved the increased spawns on the last patch, the increase in loot drops was bringing things back in line, economically, fun wise, etc etc. We get this last set of patches and things go to hell. Spawns dry up, loot no longer drops etc etc. Sure, there is an alledged fix coming Tuesday, but we know how that goes?
Yes, I take the good with the bad, but I also do not look at SWG through rose colored lenses. You have consistently put people down for decsension to the Community Relations staff for no other reason then YOU think we are wrong. Things have not gone how Calandryl or Tyrant have said they will, yet we are supposed to take it on the chin, right? If it were a free service provided by SOE, I would tend to agree, but given that we are paying them for the best service they can offer, WE feel WE deserve more. That is not any more wrong than you thinking you get just enough. They do not need you to defend them anymore than the players need me to defend their opinions...these are just mine. Please back slowly away from the soapbox and I will do the same.

There is a new Imperial Desktop, a new Rebel desktop and a most excellent "giant space battle" that was hand crafted by Ood_Bnar!

I am also working to get the announcements out as soon as possible, and as soon as we can, we will.
I'd love some more "astrostats" i think they were called. You posted some of the game stats, like most creatures killed and structure placement on the planets as well as economic data. They were very interesting.
I started working on pulling various stats together yesterday afternoon. The challenge will be what stats are available in the system; so Im working on it, but it will take some time to pull them together.
Don't forget, you can announce this stuff not on a friday, and save other material for FF..

i'm still disapointed. the wallpapers completely misrepresent the actual game. it's pure propoganda and subtle mind control.
still a waste of effort. and a complete let down.

Two weeks ago we were promised info in a week. A week ago we were promised a reason for why we didn't the info. Today, we got wallpaper.
Do you see the problem here?
