Thread: Need help re-rolling my character!!

Hey all.
I am finally done being a damn trandoshan, so i am switching to human. The thing is i have 1000's of items, 2 houses and 40 static lots.
I need your help in figuring out how i can make everything the same once i get my new character.
I have a friend or two to hold my houses and money.
The static harvs i can set a friend to admin them.
The items will be a problem, but not a big one.
I ask you, am i missing anything?
Also, how long does it take for a name to be re-used? I'd like to keep my name as i am known for it.

Thing is, don't give your friend just admin to the static harvs, because once you delete your char, they go bye bye. And about the name thing, i do not know really.

I've heard everything from 5 minutes to over a month for a name to be reused...good luck!

your static lots tell the people you have trades with your changing your items and structure transfer to freinds and os for geting the same name its anything from a week to a month i know its definatly over 1 week as it took that long for the name to disapear off items i had made before rerolling.

Checklist
Make a list of every structure in your name
andall you have admin too
If you have vendors
empty, remove maint, and destroy every one of them.
Remove anything you have for offer to another vendor or for sell on bazaar
Empty bank
Credits and safety deposit
Destroy or give away all junk now
best time to do it.
Form an email with all your needed WPs
FWD to friend to FWD to you after re-roll
Exchange all data in datapad
vehicles, pets, droids...if you cannot redeed them find who can hold them for you.
Transfer every structure in your name to trustee
give all credits at this time as well
Check your inventory, bank, and personal info sheet
you should be nekkid, poor, and have 10lots
Take a minute to log out, go drink a soda
log in and double check that you are definatly nekkid, poor, and with 10lots
Delete toon
Create toon
Reverse process

Once a name has been given to a charactor, even if its deleted literally minutes after youve logged into server for a first time it can never be used again.
U have to have completely new and unique name, though I suspect Minas' might still be available to u.
Re your friends list, theres definately away of copying a file in your friends list

have a go with copying that befor your name is changed. and plant it back into SWG after your name change."

Unquote, never tried it and unfortunately this was only info i can get onit.

Would my name be able to be the same or not?
And thanks for all your input fellas, i really appreciate it. I will let you know how it turns out.
And again, why would the static harvestors dissapear, It does not make any sense why they would.

You can reuse a name, just have to wait whatever specified time. I re-rolled and as a joke my friend made a new character several months later with the same name I had before, nothing different about it.

Im sorry i had no intention to miss inform u if thats the case, just it was my understanding once a name had been used that was it, to prevent other players from taking the deleted charactors name and impersonating that player plus other forms of abuse (like getting access to property a charactor once had permissions to).
My apologies again if Im wrong about this it was never my intention to misinform anybody
