Thread: Questions: Mark of the Hero ring.

I don't know if this has been covered before. I apologize if it has. My questions are about the Hero of Tattooine reward. I know that the ring is suppose to bring you back from death once every 23 hours. I haven't died since acquiring this, so I'd like to know the following:

1. If you die, does the ring work 100% of the time? Is it certain, or is there a chance that it could fail like Force of Will?

2. If you die, but use the ring to come back to life, do you experience any decay?

The reason for question 2 is because of the condition of the ring (100/100). If you only die once per day and use the ring each time, then technically the ring (as well as your other belongings) will never suffer a death penalty. Is this true?

Note:Personally, I don't think a "one time reward" should be fragile. It is a reward that involves a lot of work. Players shouldn't be at risk of losing it since they can never get another one. However, I realize that others may see it differently. Still...

The ring works 100% everytime. You need to have the ring equiped, and manually select the rez command on the ring, it isnt automatic rez, as most people think (including me).

I have used it 10 times since ive had it, worked everytime, tho ive only got 40 more res's

further...the ring NEVER decays. i accidently died once and said "crap...i dont wanna waste a charge...i'll let it decay to 99/100".It didnt decay...so i tested it again...no decay. the darn thing is indestructable...which is so cool considering the thing is so hard to get.

Also, it is perma-insured.

Have fun!

It's interesting to hear reports from those who've used it.

I have Feign Death and Force of Will, and I haven't died once since I got the ring several days ago. It's basically my last line of defense, but the only time I see the inside of a cloning facility now is when I need to insure new items.

It only has 50 uses? I didn't see that mentioned anywhere (hermit or ring). Is it listed somewhere that I haven't noticed?

It lists the uses left when you examine the ring itself
