My favorite weapon just hit 50 percent condition yesterday. When should I try to get it repaired does 50 % affect my weapon in any way?

I don't think the condition of the weapon concerns it's effectiveness, inasmuch as it's longevity. You can have it repaired. The only problems with repairing is that it can A) Be destroyed. B) The overall condition of the weapon decreases, but it is repaired to max condition. Ie: Instead ofhaving a condition of 500/1000 it will have a condition of 900/900.

I don't know if weapon condition makes a whole lot of difference until it gets to 0... but:
Be aware that when you repair a weapon, you have a chance to make it worse or destroying it completely.
When I can't find a crafter to build me something (This game needs a Yellow Pages) I will try to buy 2 used items from the bazaar (assuming that 100 percent stuff isn't available). Using a repair kit, which I purchased on the bazaar,I've had good sucesses, marginal ones and outright lost a few items. Whith two items at least I have a better chance of coming up with one good one!
When I come across a good weapon crafter though, if I have the money, I will buy their stuff as it is usually much better than the used stuff.

Just recently my weapons have been degrading VERY quickly. i used to spam the heck out of overcharge shot1 on all my rilfe weaps, but now the condition ticks away at a high rate of speed! I tore through 3 weaps the other night! Has anyone else noticed this? It's not as severe with the other specials.....but still rips the condition up.

Thanks for response! I noticed when I used wuks that my weaps would decay really fast.....guess I didn't really use the overcharge shots until I started to grind faction points. Nothing makes a base banner go down fast like over charge shot from a T-21.

just for clarity i believe that it's not the fact that it's a special, it's because it's specifically overcharge that damage your weapon.. as an aside, i recently found out powerups chew thru your weap faster too.. yeek live and learn..

Yea when I was grinding rilfes on Lok I was using WUKs on Gurks and went through 8 T-21's......yea I blew a lot of cash thagt way.....its good for fast killing, but not so good for everyday grinding. I keep one T-21 with a max damage basde of 525 with a WUK on it......and that just to gank a Reb when they farm my bases......but its not my everyday use weap.

I assume you meant power-ups (PU) and not weapon upgrade kits (WUK).

Hmm I dont think that applies.
Is it more likely the specials your doing with the powerups on are doing more damage to your weapons.
AFAIK Normal useage = no condition change, Specials = condition damage
