Thread: Problem with Retired Musician Quest (Part of Padawan Trials)

Hello, I have tried to complete this part of the padawan quest but the person that the musician sends me to keeps despawning or is just not at the waypoint. on my last try (#7), He was in the wp, but as I got closer he vanished. Ihave reset this quest 7 times in 2 days and have tried getting the quest from different shrines on 4 planets. I've sent in a ticket but perhaps someone out there knows something. Also, none of them were on Rori, I stay away from those. Most were Tat, Coronet or Naboo.. Thank you in advance..

They have forums just for you jedi. They would be able to give you more help.

Yup, I have one there as well.. On an update. I received a response from a CSR on my ticket. It appears ro be a known issue "BUG" and they are working on it..

not helpful, it's a bug, the guides don't help with bugs, just how to do it... my suggestion would be to fail the quest. if possible, return to grizzlo and perhaps there is an option to tell him you couldn't find anyone. supposedly you can fail up to 2 with no ill effects. of course if it's not one of the early ones you might be hesitant to try that. good luck, though.

I had the same problem, I lost count but the number was somewhere close to 36 Padawan trial resetsfor me to unlock

Yes not helpful. Ijust tried again and same results. I thought about failing but I cant talk to anyone so cant fail if I cant find him. Also it's my 2nd to last one. 
I guess I'll continue like the last post Suggested. If it took him 36 times I'm well behind him... Guess their is always a bright side to things.. Thanks for the advice..

I had that happen on several of the quests, I just kept resetting until I got through several took 10+ tries in order to complete but eventually it won't despawn, I also tried to complete it as fast assuming there was some sort of timer on the quest since i could see him a couple times only to watch him despawn before i could get to him. I don't know if there is an actual timer or anything so not sure if that's accurate but I did manage to complete all my quests finally.
Also I did notice that one time that shortly after he despawned I ran into him in another city. It's also possible that if someone else is pulling the quest that it forces him to move or perhaps there's a timer on him that forces him to shift to a new city etc... These are mainly theories but him shifting to a new city if someone else is pulling that mission on that planet would at least make sense since I imagine only one of him can exist on the planet at a time.

Thanks for the info. I'll keep trying now that you and others have said that you can work through it. It just may take me a few dozen for tries..

I had the same problem when I tried it. MAKE SURE that you don't draw any agro while you're near the WP. If you do it's almost a sure bet that the guy you need to talk to will vanish. That's the only tip I can offer.

are you approaching npc on bike ? that make them despawn ... approach them on foot from 200m ....

You walk up to the wp, and there's no one there.. the wp for me was the door for the cantina - the fella you're after is about 50m away from the wp, sitting inside the cantina nursing a drink.
I reset the stupid thing 3 times, before I did /target Grizzo (or whatever, forgot his name) only to find he was 50m away from me the whole time..
