I am looking for how to write a repeating macro...(the kind afk players/entertainers use to keep their characters from going LD).

Any help would be greatly appreciated... please post your macro writing suggestions directly to this thread...

All you have to do is at the bottom of your macro put /macro nameofmacro and it should repeat itself

My macro to keep from crashing is a smiley macro


/smile;/pause 180;/macro away the macro is named "away" so that last command makes it repeat

You should also know that /dump is the only way to kill such a macro.

I use one similar to stand up and sit down. Called "away" as well.

Keep in mind that the AFK timeout to disconnect is 600 seconds, so doing any AFK macro that repeats a smile or whatever for less than /pause 530 is rude, stupid, annoying and gets you added to /addignore faster than spamming that you wanna buy a BARC.

I do a:


/target self;
/pause 1;
/hum;
/pause 500;
/ui action toolbarSlot00;


This button would be placed in the F1 slot on the toolbar.


I also have a button next to it with /dump for when I get back

if you're trying to stay on , and don't want to spam spatial, just do

[Echo]


/echo meh

/pause 200;

/macro echo

last i heard the timer was 5 minutes, also I dont afk in town on purpose my macro is there as a safety feature for like when I'm in the bazaar or in tells

As of the CU it is impossible to keep yourself online with a macro even with /afk /pause .2 /afk. this will only toggler your tag
