Thread: a wild bladeback boar

I'm suppose to find this boar for the hero of Tat. quest but there is nothing at any of the wp's on the game guide for it. Can anyone help me out and not direct me to the game guide cause i have been reading it sense i started the quest. So plz dont post a link I have been to every link. thank you.

If you cant find some npc or animal in the game try getting a ranger and paying him or her to help you find it.

Damn this has really hit a nerve... Everyone seems to think that everything should be easy. People are complaining that these quests are too hard, and that the devs are being **edit**ers making the quests just a lot of looking around... I disagree..
Think about it... can you think of any other way that the devs could have made these quests that prevents ub3r l33t kiddies with uber-templates could do them easily. This is the quest of the HERO of Tatooine, not the uberest dudez contest.
You must be dedicated (or have a dedicated guide who you are paying well) in order to do this. I am lucky, I am a ranger so I can use my not-so-uber skills during this quest.
And when people complain that they didn't find the farmer right outside the squill cave or that the BH wasn't in the first city they went too, I get mad.

I think part of the problem is that these quests are designed from a relatively low player colision point of view, then when they go live there's all sorts of spawn timers and other things where you basically just wait around. Then that problem is compounded by the fact that ppl have to wait on each other. Then on top of that throw in ppl who are confused about what exactly is happening in the leg of the quest where they are waiting around with others just like them. In the end what you have is a huge mess that's less fun than when it was designed and tested on TC.
I did them on TC, loved them all. Took me about 5 hrs i think start to finish. I bragged on them, told my non-TC/live server friends how much fun they are, etc. Then they go live and i try them and spend 4-5 hours just looking for the Altruisn-farmer, all the while reading about other problems inthe quest.
I do (more specifically, used to do) quests in this game just to have fun, period. Only usually because of bugs (and players colision on these types) they usually end up justbeing frustrating and monotonous to complete.

Aleph, I couldnt agree with you more.......its getting so old seeing everyone come on the forums and ask for every single piece of info on how to do something instead of going out and trying to do it themselves. This is a Quest, something that shouldnt be done in a short amount of time, and bravo to the DEV's for ot making all the waypoints know. Otherwise every person with alt characters would just run around and do them all right away to get their multiple prizes.
And from a screenshot I saw of what the prize is, you'll understand why this should be a very hard quest!!!
So do it like us old time players from the beginning have done, go out and find it yourself. Hop on your bike and drive around until you find it, atleast we have vehicles to help. Some of us remember walking around everywhere. Theres more satisfaction in things when you do it yourself, instead of just having it handed to you.

Just wait for a month from now when nobody cares and has moved on to the new "content." You won't be able to avoid the spawns.

I diagree with you
I too am a master ranger and looked for the farmer for 4 hours (I hate wasting my time) each day i log in and set goals for myself to do it makes it fun to see if i can make my goals i tracked and tracked for 4 hours gave up i tried my hand at the bore 1 hr gave up i dont want the farmer standing on a pilar with a neon sign above his head say here i am but atleast let it spawn every copule of hours
i went to yavin cause my guild wanted to track a RARE GORAX i found 2 with in 1 hr and killed them its asburd when you have to constaly jump through hoops for the devs
i found the BH in about 1 hr after going to all cites once and having to make a second loop then earning the badge now that was fun
