I understand we get reduced rates on FP cost, and that people get less for kill us. I heard that if you keep on going past underworld I, that you dont earn as many faction points as you did before.

Is there any truth to this?

OK. I have gotten alot of negative Naboo faction points helping friends when they got attacked. What do I need to kill in order to gain back the Naboo faction points. I am getting sick of being attacked in Theed.

Does anyone have a listing of what you need to kill to gain and lose different faction points.

I'm having the same issue with the Naboo faction. Everywhere I go outside of Theed I'm attacked by eithier RSF commandos or Tusk cat riders. I usually end up dieing and having to clone. I understand that it is because I have a negative faction score with them, but I would like to remedy that by attacking thier enemies, but I don't know who to attack. Please help.

so you need to buy 2700 imp faction total so you would need to pay for a total of 5886 imp faction points, (assuming youbuy them from a Colonel smuggler, and assuming my math is correct) since for colonel it costs 1.18 faction to give you 1 faction point. so since a smuggler can only buy 125 faction points at a time and each 125 faction costs 10k you would have to pay 480k...now thats the bare minimum BREAK EVEN price, and breaking even isnt really a smugglers game unless its for a friend so ur looking to pay more than 480k...ask their price some people charge as much as 200 credits PER faction point at that rate that would cost you 1,177,200 credits.

I guess I have several options.

1. Run missions as a covert Imp.

2. Run missions while still neutral, but always take them from an Imp terminal.

3. Buy them from a smuggler.

I am thinking of doing number 3, as I dont want to spend all the time getting them back thru missions. Now, if I buy them from a smuggler, is there a limit to the amount I can get back at one time? For example, can I get all my points brought up to zero at once?, or, do I have to do it incrementally?

Thanks,

Ato

You can't be a covert imp if you don't have the minimum +200 imp FP needed to be affiliated to the Empire, so solution 1 is not available.

About buying from a smuggler imperial colonel the current price will be some 400 k (adjust that with your friendship coefficient with your local smuggler ). Going from -2500 to +200 will require him to have to buy 3200 FP at the price of 125 FP for 10k credits.

I organise FP trades as part of my business in game, and 2700 imp points would cost you 324k at my prices (120cpfp). There is a guy on my server who sells imp points for 115cpfp, which works out to 310.5k. The "bare minimum BREAK EVEN price" is 95cpfp, which is 256.5k for 2700 points.

Anyone who sells for cost is insane though, as it takes time to do the transfer.

The maths involved are - 10000 divided by 125 (smuggler cost to buy FP)= 80 * 1.18 (colonel transfer rate)= 94.4 (which I just call 95 for ease of calculation) credits per faction point received.

The smuggler can only hold 500 FP at a time after which he has to delegate in order to purchase more, so its a lengthy process depending on how much FP you ultimately require. Naturally, its far less time-consuming and tedious as running missions.

Also a costly affair, so bring your chequebook. :-)

(Edit: To be more clear on the topic, the smuggler will be delegating FP to you in small chunks, and he can bring you back to positive imp faction status.)

As I've now got a demand for faction points within my guild I'm going to start dealing in FP. I've been through the FAQ (and the excellent guide by Dreven) but there's one thing I can't quite put my finger on.

I understand the delegate bit depends on my rank for how many points are transferred to my buyer, I'm ok with that bit.

When I buy faction it looks like I'll be paying 100k to the recruiter but how many points do I actually get for that 100k and does it vary according to rank ?

If I missed it in the faction guide I apologise profusely, it's early ......... I haven't had enough coffee ....... it was a late night ...... I couldn't sleep very well ...... erm.... erm ......... you get the point.

A hundred grand will get you 1250 credits. The amount you gain from this bribery does not change with rank. Rank only effects how many points you lose over the amount you were going to /delegate, and how high your cap is for the total amount of faction you can hold.

Thank you for reading through FAQs and guides prior to asking.
