Thread: Mini Guide to PA Halls
Im tired of people posting in here to ask questions, so I decided to share a small bit of wisdom today.
I don't know everything there is to know about PA Halls, but I do run one on Gorath nd can give many of you some insight as to what to expect. This topic can be lonmg winded and so can I, so what I'll do is list some basic facts many of you have been asking about and I will elaborate as you have questions.
1) The halls take 9 lots. Each player gets 10. Know what you're getting into.
2) The person who places the hall is the only one that has control in every way. No one else can place items or vendors.
3) All player made buildings have an item capacity of 250. This counts items in bags and containers of any sort. 50 items in as bag is 50 items on the ground. This rule applies to small houses and up. 250 items max in a small and 250 max in a PA hall. Each crate takes 5 spaces. If you examine the house controls, it will likely display a smaller number of items than there really are. Mine has close to 250 but says 38.
4) Only the Guild Leader (the person that placed the building) can add members to the guild and those members do need to be in the structure. This is a huge responisbility if you are managing a guild of 100 people that came over from another game with you.
5) The only power non-leaders of the guild have is allegedly vote you out. However, none of my guild mates can see anything on the guild terminal but "examine". So keep in mind, you're stuck with your leader right now and he is the ONLY one that can let you out of the guild if you decide you hate it until they fix this bug are decide to alow this feature to become active.
6) Every time someone new gets added to the guild, everyone gets an email about it.
7) All of the halls are huge and cool looking. The Naboo style is 3 floors (2 if you don't count the outside roof). The basement has an elevator, which I warn you, is buggy. This bug may only apply to the guild leader as no one else has complained about it.
8) The top floor is a roof where missions cannot spawn and npc enemies cant follow. And you can survey and sample up there too.
9) If you disband guild to start something over, get ready to redeed the PA hall. You will not be able to create a new guild again until you do so.
10) The hall, like any building can act as a cantina for entertainment healing, but it isnot a medical center, so get your droids out and problem is solved.
11) When creating a guild, a screen comes up allowing you to enter 1-25 letter for a guild name (The Crimson Legion). Then a screen comes up that asks you for a 1-5 letter name that will represent your guild and be diplayed after each person in the guild's name <CRIM>.
That should open doors for some questions, but believe me, there's not much more to it unless Sony decides to unlock, allow access or fix stuff.
Thank you for all the information. It's nice to see quality information being posted, as opposed to the massive amounts of whining and cries for nerfing that seem to flood every messageboard. I am part of a small group that is currently saving to purchase our PA Hall. I'll be sure to pass this info on to the rest of the crew.

A warning for people not to go over 50 members.
We have a guild which has just past 90 members and we need to remove a couple.
This has proved impossible if they are not co operating. In fact if an officer or guild leader tries the /guildremove <name> command on a memberit removes theperson typing the command from the guild!!! Our guild leader is currentlyin limbo due to this bug.
Has anyone yet discovered theway for removing a person safely if they do not show on the first 50 people list?
Has anyone got any idea why the Devs are ignoring all the problems with PAs and can't even tell us some basic commands?

- A Tattooine PA Hall is only 7 Lots. (it is the exception)
- You can give members the ability to Sponsor others, and to also invite players to the guild. They must however be in the PA Hall when you give them these permissions or it does not seem to work. I have several 'officers' that can do this.
Wow - only Sony couldmess up something so central to MMOG's.
My Advice: Buy a large house and rename it to your "Guild Hall".
Untill the guild administration issues are dealt with its as good as the real thing.
Quite Frankly I don't see why guilds need to be tied to a piece of property. The whole idea is bothersome.
ok I am the PA leader of the 'Desert Wind Rangers' on Tatooine... our PA hall takes up 7 lots and has a 150 item max...
My question is... my Guild computer disappeared yesterday morning and noone can see it, so I know its not my graphics... and today the building terminal disappeared... what is going on??? atleast I have 18 days of maintenance in there for just such emergencies...

Becuase if they were not tied to a peice of propety you would have a bunch of 12 yr "leeto's" running aroudn with no central location for thier organisation/guild.
just letters and no numbers for the guildtag? if I wanted to make the guildtag show up as (for example) '101st', I'd be SOL?
