Chances are it's not a lightsaber component. Lightsabers do not rely upon the force to operate.

might have to do with somthing that could be used later on (JK2 single player, reborns were GIVEN the force... not trained in it.) possibly when you do have the force, this crystal just might enhance a certain force power you attack it to... (i.e. force push pushes a humanoid NPC and alters position to kneeling. if you add the force crystal maybe it will make it position to prone. and if theres a Force Push 2 skill that you get, it might just push the NPC back a few meters.) i seriously dont know and theres only one way we are ever gonna find out about any of this... get those FSCS's open... im a curious little dog muffin. at least PM me... cus im wicked-awesome...

Dreamin' of that face again... It's bright and blue and shimmerin' Grim and wide and comforting me with it's three warm and wild eyes.

What might a force amplification crystal do?

Well, I don't know if it'd be a powerup for a lightsaber since they don't use the Force to operate. You use the Force to align the crystals, and the lightsaber may be built where there's no exterior button or switch (only an internal one) so you have to use the Force to activate it, but the blade isn't like "essence of Force" or anything.

Maybe the crystal acts defensively like armor in that it lets the Jedi character get bonuses to defense (and/or attack) because of faster reflexes or something. Maybe it helps the Jedi regen quicker.

I guess we won't know until we start seeing fellow players getting Jedi chars and finding this stuff out first hand.

I believe it could quite possibly be a lightsaber component because even though they do not require the force tooperate, they do require those crystals to operate. I forget exactly what it does but it is necessary. And the sith found a way to grow them which is why all their lightsabers are red and all the good guys are different colors.

It could definately be something could increase your midi-chlorian countor something along those lines. It could be placed in your lightsaber as well to increase your damage or something. Anyways, I guess we might be able to figure out a use once somebody unlocks the FS slot.
