Selecting Draft Schematics made easy
By: Warryyr
Someone mentioned this awhile ago, but I thought it was worth repeating. I just updated my crafting macro with it and it was great for when I learned new schematics and the schematic numbers resorted.
Instead of specifying:
/ui action selectDraftSchematic 01
In a macro, and having to deal with figuring out the exact draft schematic number in your datapad (which can sometimes be a pain due to changing numbers, new learned schematics at a new level, and so on), try replacing this line in your crafting macro (the selectDraftSchematic line) with the following:
/pause 1
/ui action defaultButton
/pause 1
Now, open up the crafting window of the crafting tool you want to use. Manually select the schematic you want to use with your macro, and click Next, so that you are at the window that lets you load resources into the schematic. Now press Esc to close the window (or hit the little x on the upper right).
Now, fire up your crafting macro.
The default chosen item to craft will be the one you selected the last time you opened the tool.
The defaultButton action and the 1 second pause will select Next for you, bringing up the "add resources" window, and you never need bother with finding a draft schematic number in your datapad again!

- Where was this a year ago when I was grinding weaponsmith! LOL
Very good tip for us crafters!
Ah, yes. The bane of old hologrind crafters, this was. I remember being afraid to train for fear of finding a new draft schematic number. And if I did train, I wouldn't want to log off, lest the draftschematic count changed. So many sleepless nights, so many marathon crafting sessions. I can still hear my mouse clicking, ever so softly at first...click click....click click....
After some weeks of grinding, my mouse grew louder....click click...click click.....Could it be that my ears were more attuned to the rhythm of the grind? At times, it was like a lullaby.....click click...click click...
No, I fear that my mouse is louder because it is beginning to wear out....click click...click click...Get a new mouse, these buttons are beginning to jam. Must maintain the /pause 3 interval for loading resources....click click...click click...
What is this? Pub 9 is the deadline for hologrinders? Must pick up the pace...click click...click click...Running low on resources. Must buy small stacks on the bazaar for outragous cpu...click click!!...click click!!...
Hologrinding done. Jedi finally unlocked. No more crafting to do. Drift off to peaceful sleep in my bed. Soon, I begin to dream....click click...click click...

It is a very useful command to know - but be aware of the sting in the tail.
You mean they never fixed the 'feature' where it kept popping up no matter how many times you didn't want it to?
Nope, it appears the idea is that you should just use it and get it over with.
Yeah, that's how it has apparently worked out, but TH specifically said that it was for us to keep and use when we want. He didn't mention, however, that it would spam itself to us everytime we travel. Oh well. Add it to the bug list, I guess.

Very well put, Red-Dwarf. ![]()
The command is a very powerful one. With great power comes great responsibility, haha. Use it carefully. It will automatically hit the default button for any window that's brought up.
This Wookiee is not responsible for anything that happens as a result of that command.
Unless it's something wonderfully good ![]()

this tip isnt very ground breaking but after several months of CU I finally got a newloading screensthat told me this tip and got this one that really has helped me out ever since.
I missed having the /peace command because my crafter was constantly running around being harrassed by mobs. I would go into a building still aggro'd even though the mob was far away. Usually this would happen because I drove by them on my speeder.
Found out if you press ESC now you can get rid of the fighting stance and the music if you are far enough away..
