Great Post

I have to be honest, I have a few too many to choose from right now... I've been playing since the very beginning and I can't quite bring myself to vote one great memory as the best.

Way back within a few weeks from the game's launch, I was out exploring in the dunes of Tatooine, at night.
I came across another scout sitting in a camp. He invited me in... I played some music that he had never heard before and he told me about the many things he had discovered so far, just from exploring.
Remember... no POI waypoints, no mounts nor vehicles and at this point, not much was known about the little things you could see around the galaxy.
He had me open my planetary map and indicated a small purplish dot south east of Mos Eisely.
This of course is an Oasis on Tatooine that he found just by exploring and shared with me in a very fun way.
Ever since then (Even to this day) if someone asks me where that Oasis is I make them open up their own map and tell them where to look in order to find it.

I'm going to make three other honorable mentions...
The first time I logged into SWG... loaded in at Mos Eisley and eventually walked into the Cantina. Seeing all the Cantina inhabitants and just walking around inside the Star Wars universe... I was sold at that moment... despite the three minute lag.

The first time I made it to Jabba's Palace and those great doors opened up before me (Just a great Star Wars moment).

The first time (In JTL Beta) I entered a multi-player Star-Ship. All of us could not stop saying, "WOW!!".
Seriously... our spatial chat looked like a bunch of kids waking up to find an entire Toys'R'Us inventory had been placed in their living room.

Hi!

I've been playing SWG from Summer 2003 and love the game - even though I have dropped out a couple of times and come back.

When I am running around it always puts a smileon my face to see newbies getting into the action, and it reminded me of the euphoria that my early days in SWG.

What has been your best / favourite / most enjoyable moment in SWG since you started playing?

(And anyone who says "cancelling my account" is just not funny!)

Here is favourite moment!

Back in the early days on my other character, my brother, our friend Argyros and I decided to set-up houses in the middle of Tatooine near the Squill Caves, in preparation for the advent of player cities.I loved the game so muchI actually bought them both copies!

When the day for Player Cities arrived, I had the deed, went to Bestine to get trained in Novice Politician, and then we got ready for the long haul to our chosen location...

In those times, the 3k run across the Tatooine desert was not one that you did without some planning... There were no speeders, no mounts, no buffs, no composite armour (none you could wear anyway) and running into a Tusken Warlord meant death. I cannot even tell you how many times that journey turned into a 3 hour major battle!

It must have taken us about an hour to work our way there... One of the guys got killed, but they told me to run on ahead so that I didn't miss out on one of the 10 player city slots.

My heart was pounding... the adrenalin coursed through my veins as my bro saw some Mountain Squill right where I wanted to put the City Hall.

Bravely, he led them away and I dropped the hall just before I got aggroed by some Alkharan bandits and our city was born.

I didn't sleep the night before, or the night after...And not just because wespent a lot of the next day holed-up in our houses trying to take out the Squills who were outside.

It was hard as hell, but it was fun!!!

Your turn now!

That has been when a friendly guy was teaching me Master Creature Handler (over a year ago ...). I'll never forget this moment :-)

MMORPGs are about immerson, not conquest. FPSs are about conquest, not immersion.
Powergamers want a FPS, but want an audience to admire them while they do it. That is why they flock to MMORPGs. l00k 4tz me, im d4 l33tz dud3z.

My favorite moment was the first time I organized a hunt myself in front of the Starport. We went to Fort Tusken. That never happens anymore. I miss the whole experience of grouping. We need less grinding and more grouping.

I have plenty that keep me playing for more, being scanned and caught by Stormies in Cor Vella (RUN AWAY! ), earning the Rebel Themepark Badge, placing my Guildhall down and organzing a clusmy group into an efficient killing team.

Not to mention running my own live event.

Wow, it is hard to pick one event so will go with this one. The first time I rode in a YT-1300 transport I got a rush. It was cool to walk around the ship and remember events that happened in the movies. There are alot of complaints about the game (I am guilty) but you have to admit, no other game has made you feel like you are living the legendlike SWG.

Wow!

It is great to see so many people out there who are still loving the game and have good memories...

On those rare occasions that I come to the Boards, I'm sometimes left with the impression that I'm the only person left who loves SWG, but I'm glad to be proved wrong!!!
