He will come to you, you don't haveto go and look for him.

There are various theories on how to get him to show up faster, check the FS forum.

yeah , i've been looking on the forums and they mostly say to stay out of npc city's and to try login out and back in again to try and trigger the old man to spawn. it's only been a day since i've had the force glowing in me , so i'll just have to be patient, i think !! its just a bit frustrating waitng in the middle of nowhere and nothing is happening....my time will come....

Well, I can give you my experience after i went glowy... Just to make the waiting easier...

I went glowy friday night... 11pm my time...

I logged after that... 36 hours after (sun morn, around 10am), i logged, and decided to go to a player city and walk the "1000m" away from the shuttleport. At about 200m away, the old man was with me and wanted to talk to me. I had to see the message in my spatial(he was behind me).i stopped, and turned, and there he was.

Now, after this, i had to wait for the sith to attack... that attack came approx 36 hours later (monday night)... i was in the same city where the old man visited me.

I tried to get the sith to attack me sunday night, but nothing.... so ... my suggestion is to wait at least 24 hours, and then try the tactics above (or suggested)... or even 36... as my case, 36 came and there they were.

Some of my pet peeve bugs:
•Armorsmith protection layers were not converted with the CU.
•Ship Details window does not close when you click "Travel" resulting in the message "You have lost the target. Closing interface."

so do you think its best to hang around a player city, ie: a city that has been formed from players and not a city like for instance BESTINE (npc city). at the moment i'm waiting outside my house in the middle of the desert on tattooine, the nearest city of any kind ( player or npc ) is nearly 3000m away... anyway thx for all your advice you are giving me... its very reassuring

I spent my time waiting for the old man by looking for the farmer and pirate spawns for the hero of tat quests.

The old man showed a day and a half later, the sith attacked me 45 mins after that.

I still haven't found the farmer though LOL.

Keep yourself busy though and the wait won't feel a long

I saw a player get visited in the Imperial Outpost on Dantooine. I think the player was AFK at the time. lol
