Thread: Tuesday Tips September 30th
Each week, I start a thread for you to share game tips with fellow players. Have a little known command you use all the time, a cool place to visit, a trick (non-exploit) to getting more out of the game? Share it here. To get things started:
Talk to NPCs especially the ones near the exits to towns. They sometimes give descriptions of and waypoints to interesting locations.
Check out last week's tips.
Heralds are NPC's that lead you on a grand quest . . that actually don't complete. For instance one guy in Tatooine sends you to find "Old Ben" at Fort Tusken. Once you get to Fort Tusken (Or near it) It completes outmagicly. If you head all the way back to the fellow, he trys to send you out on it again instead of rewarding you.
Ray.
Resize the stat migration window to its maximum width to make single-digit changes.
This helps me with image-design sliders, also.
Don't shuttle overt...EVER.
Why are your faction NPC's standing around in the boonies? They're waiting for you to lure nasty red cons into their midst! Instant firefight, and fun for all!
another riddle this week
zooming lightsaber quests, large groups do bring, for W, NW of this 'rancorish' outpost to your last 'hope' may you cling!

For those who aren't yet aware:
To change the color of your items, use \#xxxxxx\text
this will change the text to the color specified by the xxxxxx. This is in RGB hex format, RRGGBB, where RR represents the reds, GG the greens, and BB the blues.
Examples: \#ff0000\ is all red. \#00ff00\ is green, \#0000ff\ is blue, \#ffffff\ is white, and \#000000\ is black.
Also, /dump ends looping (helpful for macros).

I don't think heralds are supposed to be "quest-givers". They only point the way to interestingdungeons and suchfor the players that don't visit the forums or fan-sites to get waypoints to POIs.
Use control on the chat tab anddrag it to a different area.
I have spatial, group, and combat open all the time. ![]()
Works great if you like to watch the combat spam and don't want to miss a group tell.
