Thread: I deleted the first Sith-camp waypoint datapad. Now what?

Like the topic says, I deleted the datapad I got from the sith assault, before reading it. Why? Because I was killed by the siths first, then after cloning I had lost the crystal so I thought I would have to start the FS-quests again.
Well, the sith were still there where they had killed me so this time I did the killing by mysel and looted the datapad. I thought it was worthless because I didn't have the force crystal. I thought it was worhless because I would be visited by the old man again and I would get a new crystal.
So yes, I was visited by the old man again, I got the crystal again, but, the sith assault is mentioned as a completed-mission. The thing didn't start all over again. And I don't have a datapad or a waypoint.
So my question is, how to reset the FS-quests? How to lose all the FS-quest I've done (all the two..) so that the whole thing would start all over again?

Thats even sadder you couldnt kill then with default attack.

I believe I'm in a similar boat. I landed at a player city, got attacked by the sith and looted the datapad. I got no message at that time about completing the quest at that time. I ran around the city, came back to the shuttle port 10-15 mins later and got attacked by two sith again. I looted a resource, another datapad, and got the message saying I had completed the quest. So I use the first datapad in my inventory, got the wp, went to it and it disappearedwhen I was100-80m away. Nothing spawned, no camp, no siths. So I figured the second datapad I had was the one I had to use, but when I try it tells me I can not understand the data. No matter what planet I'm on I cannot understand the data. So I shuttled around for a while and didn't get attacked by anymore sith. I'm lost, but not surprised. Oh no, you got hit by a bug, never heard of that happening in this game 
Anyways, I'll be watching here for advice on my situation aswell. If it happened to me, I'm sure it happened to many others. I'll also post any progress I make here.

I think you are running into this missing camp-bug, which seems to be quite common: http://forums.station.sony.com/swg/board/message?board.id=game_guides&message.id=224924
Haven't seen any posts though how to recover from a situation where you delete the datadisk before reading it, so that the crystal shows the quest as completed..

Thank you very much. Followed the instructions on that page and was fine. I asked around but noone I know has heard of a solution for your problem. I'll keep an ear open, but hopefully more siths will just attack you soon and solve your problem.

I haven't seen the siths yet again. I've been playing like I normally do, moving from planet to planet quite often.
I have this nasty feeling that I won't see them ever because the force crystal has markes the sith ambush -quest as completed.

I was attacked by the sith on one of my toons today. Killed them and looted the data disk. When i go to 'use' it i get the following:
You must first loot this item before you can read it
LOL
If i didnt loot it, how come its in my inventory?

Could you two help me and tell me what your force crystall shows? Is the second-quest (sith ambush) mentioned as completed?
