Hey TH any chance that we will ever be able to rotate at least houses and tents at angle intervals other than 90 degrees? It would certainly make player cities and guild compounds a little more aesthetic, and maybe allow cities to tackle terrain obstacle and reflect structure placement in a more realistic fashion.

Here's a tip for newbies all hepped up for comp armor. Learn what armor does what and realize that you can afford a good set of ubese for PvE rather than wasting hard earned money on comp with so many resists you dont need. Check out the Armorsmith forums for the Armor guide stickied at the top. It will tell you all about resists, AP, AR, encumberance, and condition. Most of us who started last summer did fine without armor and even now I have mastered two combat profs with just ubese. I get so many newbs begging me for money so they can get that comp chestplate that they absolutely need right now. Do a little research and save yourself some money.

That would be awesome

Here's my stupid little tip. It doesn't do much, it's just easier to keep track of things.

Keep all your credits in the bank, not on you. While you can't lose credits if you die now, it's just easier to keep them in one place. Easier to keep track of them.

This should be in the manual. It shouldn't be a tip.

Here's my tip:

Invest in crates of travel packs! Alot of stores sell these for people to use in their home as the devs, in their infinite wisdom, have not seen fit to give us furniture which acts as storage bins. Instead, we get backpacks lined up along walls. Oh, and those backpacks have loads of lovely bugs where the contents suddenly disappear, but well, if you're not used to bugs by now you probably haven't been paying very close attention.

Anyway, everyone knows this, so what other use could travel packs have? Well, they are great for deleting all that useless loot you get along your journey. If you are like me, you have harvest/loot macros set up to loot items off anything you harvest. This means every 5-10 minutes of a hunt you have 20-30 absolutly useless items in your inventory, such as voritor plates, backaset plates, rancor bile, rancor padded armor segments... oh the list goes on and on of absolutly useless items you acquire.

Instead of clicking on the radial menu, waiting for it to pop up, clicking delete, then confirming delete action for all of these annoying little loot items, just click out a new backpack, load up the backpack with the worthless loot, and delete the whole bag! This saves you quite a bit of time as 90% of the loot you pick up on any given day is merely another SWG annoyance in making you delete them.

Well, there are a lot of new players and some tips are timeless in that they are always handy, even if they are reminders. Q-3PO did a great job of choosing helpful tips.

Though, I appreciate that you are so familiar with the feature

What kind of tipsshould we see? Between the Tuesday Tips and everything that players have posted, there really has been a lot of ground covered.

I think my favorite tuesday tip (or was it a friday feature) listed the most awesome unused static content places... I remember it mentioned the pygmy torton cave on rori for the first time I'd heard of it... which was cool to see, although entirely unrewarding in any material manner...

something which highlights the static content of the game, rare though it may be, would be very much welcomed. Maybe a guide or tutorial for the geo cave or DWB... something that reminds us there is stuff to do in this game... well... two things to do in this game...

I enjoyed 19 questions. But, at the risk of sounding cynical, that seemed to go bye-bye when the catch all answer *cough*combat revamp*cough* got delayed.

If not that, then maybe alternate between tip for experienced players and tips for the n00bs

Each week, Q-3PO started a thread for you to share game tips with fellow players. Tuesday Tips will continue on. Have a little known command you use all the time, a cool place to visit, a trick (non-exploit) to getting more out of the game? Share it here. To get things started:

Placing player structures:

  • Most building placements start with the main building’s door facing North. You can use either Page-Up and Page-Down to rotate the building, or if you prefer, use the right mouse button to rotate the building to suit your tastes. If you decide you don’t like the position of the building and you want to try to re-place the structure, use ESC to cancel placement.

Check out last week's tips
