Thread: Tuesday Tips October 4th A Few Droid use tips...
Example: Pull out creature(15 seconds, Note: Unnecessary downtime), unless somone initiates combat, or you get agro.
Kill mission (1 or 2 minutes in a good group)
Store pet (30 seconds, Note: Unnecessary downtime)
Pull out bike (Instant)
Drive to next mission
With bikes, the delay was removed, which is awesome. With creature handlers, the situation is similar to bikes. Our entire combat profession class is based on those cute little killer Durni's. It seems fair we should be able to pull them out and use them at any time, even in combat. My pet is like my pistol, but there isn't a 15 to 30 second delay to pull that out, and I can definitely change to a rifle in combat, with virtually no delay.
Just a thought from someone who just wants to grab their pet and get to the fun stuff!

Thanks for the great droid tips TH. Question: any chance of making droids/creatures/factional pets, callable at any time, with no delay, even in combat? The old system of having a delay when pulling out these things, and storing them, was probably put in to avoid some sort of exploit, but nowadays, it is dated. In addition, the delay makes it a real pain for Creature handlers to pull out pets before a mission, especially in a good group that can take out missions relatively quickly.

Is it intended for droids to be healed via AoE heals like they currently are ingame, or are there a type of droid "stim" that should be used instead....
Hope to hear from you
making factional pets worth while wouldbe good too...my ATST at CL65 is pretty worthless and top that off that once dead its gone...

Removing the pet call delay is In-Development(Down towards the bottom).
Sometimes the name/command won't take, just repeat it out to spatial. Nobody will mind the occaisional KILL, FETCH or whatever
/tellpet seems to work better with two letter commands (or commands of at least two letters), so I use GR,GU, AT, SA1, SA2 etc.
Items in a droids storage container don't seem to decay on death. So, pilots, get a ten unit droid for your favourite armour, non adk'd weapon and bung it in your portable 'safe' when grinding space XP.
BH mark or mission spawn stuck in a building? Send your pet in on the attack then, as soon as it starts taking hits call it back beside you and attack the MoB once its back in view. Doesn't work 'every' time but it helps.
Try this:
Write / followed by the first letter of the command (like /m )
Then press tab + shift + ctrl at the same time
The System will list all commands starting with this letter

Ummm, I didn't think anything decayed from your deaths in space battles anyway. Am I wrong?

The way to get it to work 'every' time is to walk right up next to the building before you call out your Droid (and if he's already out, store him and call him again). This way, when he comes out, he'll look like he's halfway in the building - he is! And he'll be able to attack whatever/whomever is in there. Then you back up 20-30 meters, give your Droid the "follow" command, and when he comes to you, the mob will follow him. Attack the mob (and give your Droid the "attack" command again) once it's outside the building and you get to complete your mission!
This worked TWICE on a couple guildmate's final Jedi missions, when on each mission one of the Sith Warriors spawned inside a building.
Enjoy!

Hello Thunderheart,
this is one of the best tuesday tip so far. Even if droid could get some lovin, it's nice to remember people how handy they can be.
My tip :
In need of storage? Buy 5 droids with storage modules and you have 50 new safe slots to carry your stuff.
