Thread: Holo-Grinders are Silly

Why do the holo-grinders seem to think they should get credit for each and every single profession they mastered, even if they don't unlock before the 31st?

If anything, the ONLY credit anyone should get is for mastering the random professions that were picked out for them at creation to originally unlock their FSCS.

Those who went and macro-ground out 30 professions shouldn't get any more credit than those who ended up mastering all but the final FSCS profession that was assigned to them.

Nobody told you to waste your time grinding out profession after profession.

If you enjoyed yourself doing the grind, great.

If you didn't enjoy yourself, it's your own smegging fault.

It's amusing how these grinders are saying they're gonna "get screwed by SOE" because they won't(hopefully) get credit for the fact that they sat down and ground out 20-30 professions, but still failed to hit their last profession that would've unlocked their FSCS.

They way you guys are sounding is like they should just give you a second character slot and allow you to all become Jedi Knights just because you wasted your own time.

Give me a break.

Thats how you had to get your jedi, sounds like someone is upset because they couldnt figure out how to macro grind. lol

i think you are wrong. most people that unlocked had to grind around 20-31 professions. just because some of us didn't grind that many doesn't mean we should get any less credit.

Um...no.
I am against looping macros altogether. I'm glad they're getting rid of them soon.

As for evanight's comment about the Christmas holos.
So what?
YOu should still only get credit for the professions that would've counted towards unlocking your FSCS.

Using the logic of you holo-grinders, anyone who's mastered ANY profession should get credit for ALL professions mastered.
That's just silly.

The holocrons were a guide to help you along. If you chose to try and hit your last profession, it's your own fault.
It was shortly after the big holo-craze began that they announced the idea that the path to unlocking your FS would change anyways.

If someone has mastered 31 profs(like myself) then surely i am only one prof away from those required to open my slot. Therefore i should be just as close in the new system as i was in the old . Just because you couldnt be bothered to put in the sametime and effort as the hologrinders did (and obviously regret it now judging by how strongly you seem to feel on the matter) doesnt mean you should start flaming us. You have put absolutely no effort into becoming a jedi so why should you be as close as those who have? (and who would have unlocked very soon if they hadnt changed the rules halfway through)...Grinding isnt 'wasting time' or boring either..I have had more variety and fun in grinding than i would have had if i had mastered one prof and stuck with it...I know about ,and have tried every prof (except ID). Lots of people ask me for advice because i have learnt a lot from the grind and i feel that i have got a lot more from this game than those people who just find 2 profs and stick with them(i also have 103 badges by the way)..Why dont you just play your game..and let everyone else get on with theirs.

I feel sorry for holo-grinders. When I heard how the unlocking system was, I quit.
I stayed gone for 9 months. Came back due to the change. If holo-grinders are at fault for anything, it is not being able to foresee that SOE was going to change the system. I knew they would, that's why i left and waited. If they get major credit, fine with me.

"Those who went and macro-ground out 30 professions"

I want to say a lot of angry things to you right now but as I typed, I realize your ignorance would get in the way of any real logical reply I could ever make.

Better luck next time.

Funny how you grinders seem to think I'm jealous in some way of you wasting time instead of playing the game and having fun.

Obviously, this post is projected more towards those who did the holo-grind simply to become Jedi and did NOT enjoy their time doing it.

MRFUJI:

I'm not saying that because I only mastered 1 holo profession that I should be just as close as you who did 31. What I'm saying is, it's stupid to think that you should get credit for any professions mastered besides the holo ones. By your logic, ANYONE who has mastered a profession, holocron or no, should get credit towards their force sensitive abilities.

I do not regret not holo-grinding. I play the game doing what professions I like. I started on my first holocron, and after grinding through Medic, I realized that it was a stupid waste of my time and money to pursue something I might not get anyways.
I decided to wait and see what the new system they announced would be and played the game to have fun in the meantime.
I'm glad you enjoyed yourself for the grind, however, that doesn't mean you should get any extra credit besides the original professions you were required to master to unlock your FSCS under the old system.

Illuminatrix:

Please, do tell. What "ignorance" do you speak of?
I admit, saying the "macro-grind" comment was a bit harsh, but you cannot deny that a majority of the holo-grinders used looping macros to do the work for them whenever possible.

My main point I'm trying to make with this topic is that the holo-grinders should ONLY get credit as much as anyone who mastered all but the last FSCS professionthey were required to do to unlock their slot anyways.

And BTW, They did say that there would be no more unlocks until after Publish 10. They announced that some time ago, too.

The last sentence in my reply to your post, of the last sentence of my post overall?
Either way, in what way does it "prove my ignorance"?
