Ok well I started a new toon. I get in game and out Pops an R2 droid. I am very thankfull for all the help he it trying to give but for the life of me I cannot seem to get rid of him. I delete him and he keeps comming back. It is getting rather annoying. I tryed taking him to theed and kicking him off the waterfall that did not work either.

Complete the quests or wait till the character has 10 hours of play time then delete the droid from datapad.

I was wondering if this is basically the best procedure when making a new gun from scratch:
-Try to max out dmg in the crafting process with tissues, bones etc.
-Slice for spd as much as you can
-Put any remaining slicing points (still hazzy on the new slicing system even though I'm a smuggler, but yes i know there are stickies!) into the crit chance bonus
-Stick a spd PUP on it
My understanding is that a weapon which has already hit the max on dmg won't increase dmg with a pup or a slice, so it's best to try to max it out during crafting and then slice for the other stats.
Please correct me if I'm wrong, and yes I realize this is a "perfect world" scenario.

As someone who has a WS alt, I can tell you that it really matter what you're making.
If you're making a rifle or carbineand have Pre CU stocks, you should max the damage while using the stocks and just a couple experimentation points to keep the SAC low and then using slices to complete it.
If you're going for pistol, it's easier to hit max damage, but you don't have the benefit of the stocks to lower the SAC. In that case I would say use some really good tissues, get the SAC below 80, and keep the rest of the points in damage. That way you can use the slice to finish off whatever portion of the stats you want to enhance.
PS- A weapon cannot be sliced above it's max stats, however from what I've seen a pup will put it over. So getting the most out of your max damage would still be a good idea. I only use pups that improve damage.

Thank you very much for shedding more light on this for me. The only crafting I've only done was Smuggler goods, so didn't know exactly how everything was setup, despite having been around since launch rofl.

Get as low a sac as possible, damage does not matter if your out of action to shoot the weapon.

Anything below 80 SAC does just fine especially with spice and foods. Since most WS can get under 80 on carbines and pistols with 2-3 points and components experimented the right way (haven't played with rifles enough yet since I've been focusing on getting my pistols and carbines perfect so far), it's important not to spend too much time on it. Anything more than 3, maybe 4 points into SAC is just taking too much away from the overall damage of the weapon.

my LS has an SAC of 100 (it's preCU) and with spice and the right food/drink I have never run out of action, so I kind of wrote SAC off as something to request experiment points be put into.
And I won't be fighting too often, I'll be smuggling more than fighting
oh wait

I may be wrong, but I got Master Smuggler a short time ago and I think that, while I just had Slicing IV, I didn't get the option to make the higher tier slices for armor. Please, any Smuggler having Slicing IV but not Master could confirm this?
