Thread: Major Flaw in Jedi Design

The old system where you had a toon and that unlocked another new Jedi toon was a far better design.
I "thought" the newer one allowed you to become force sensative and thatwould unlock another toon that you could do with as you wanted. But I hear that you HAVE to become a padawan to unlock the 2nd toon and THEN you can't go back and have used 24 skill points so you pretty much have to become a Jedi.
The problem with this is quickly becoming apparent to me as the weeks pass. The game is 100% player controlled economy. Many of the players are becoming Jedi and then they kinda work on their new toon but they focus more on Jedi and that takes a VERY long time to lvl.
The result of this I have been seeing on Intrepid. Few Doctors Buffing, More and more crafters with empty vendors and so on. The other night I was looking for a Brandy Vendor hich should be easy. I went to my saved waypoints and every vendor was empty. Hit 3 close by vendors on map and all vendors empty. Have seen the same thing with weapon vendors and BE vendors and Food vendors and Armor vendors over the last 2 weeks. The economy is basically shutting down due to all the crafters, vendors, Doctors becoming Jedi. In coronet their used to be 3 or more doctors buffing, that has been replaced with 3 or 4 people shouting is anyone buffing. They "may" come back but it will take a while with a new toon but its been getting worse and worse every day. Justlast nighta doctor friend couldn't buff me because he is working towards Jedi and no longer has the Master Doctor box.
They need to change this to have the master Force sensative box unlock the 2nd toon not the padawan box. That way you could go and make a JediOR work a new toon up and design them to be a Jedi from the ground up. That was what the originally stated would me the case but for some reason changed their mind.It's about having a choice but the dev's seem to like forcing us to play the game their way with no choice. The problem is their way is causing the economy of the game to collapse as more and more of the people who were supporting the economy become Jedi.
Anyone else seeing this?

It's the crafters fault, they are rich and lazy and can't be arsed to make cheap products, instead they want to rip us of to provide their main accounts with a lot of money.
Now a lot of people are getting a second toon because of the new system and they start making all the crafting stuff themselves cause they can make it for 10% of the price they used to buy it for.
I'd rather buy a second copy to get an alt and have him craft all I need then have to do solo missions 24/7 to be able to pay for weapons, armor, food, buffs and crystals.

Why would it matter if you can't have them logged in at the same time?

I may have to do that at this rate. I guess the dev's did have a good plan....prevent you from getting an alt without paying more for another game and subscription.

yeah... but u still cant have the main toon, and the padawan unlock toon logged in at the same time... thats just stupid i think..

BTW this is not the crafter's fault. I try to keep my vendor stocked ... haven't you noticed the decrease in the number of player's? One of the best weaponsmiths and one of the best armorsmiths left galaxies to play a different MMORPG. Now granted players from fighting professions are leaving the game also but what you have to ask yourself is "With crafter's leaving the demand on others product goes up". Instead of buying just one or two crates of brandy do you now buy four or five incase you don't find it for a while you're ok? Do you buy an extra suit of armor just incase the armorsmith doesn't make a factory run for a while? Is it the holiday's and people are allowed to have lives? Do not go blaming us, which a lot people love to do, instead search for answers or start thinking ahead.

if u for example wanna make the padawan unlock toon a doc or entertainer to help yourself out...

If you want to buff yourself, you just buff your ld'ed body, but you better have a watch monitoring the time, cause you will not have the buff timers.

Yeah, not sure how you would be able to pull that one off lol, unless you can somehow have your alt start playing, then pull your jedi in to listen, then disconnect and log back on to your alt, music and macroes should still be running, then back to your jedi, back and forth for a few minutes, that might work, lol, I'll have to try it.

i tried keeping my armor shop running and do jedi at the same time ...and i was finding myself way too stressed out lol so instead of having half empty vendors i decided to sell my whole armor operation which was a good deal imo no point in having to pay for 2 accounts when i have 2 for 1 i got 120mill out of all my resources. RIS stuff and i got to keep my +24 armor exp suit which i can sell for another 30-40mill or take AS again with the new toon ....point is now i can dedicate my time on jedi and make my other toon a krayt hunter template and mine quality resources on the side at my own time with no worries to stock ..sit on those resources for a couple of months and make millions again : O)
