Can anyone tell me the fastest way(or anyway besides slicing locked containers) to get slicing exp as a novice smuggler?

I'd like to know where you would find these containers to slice open.

I havnt started slicing yet but i will tomorow i have about 20 locked containers would any slicer here tell me how much xp you get for one

i just finished slicing containers for exp and got slicing 1. containers give you 250 exp each time you open it. as far as i can tell only unlocking locked containers gives you exp. i bought a locked briefcase off the bazaar but couldn't slice it. the thing i see as bad is that when you fail a container it becomes permenantly jammed. i didn't look closely at my failed containers (so it's possible it mentions the lock is jammed in the details), but if you buy them off the bazaar be careful. i could go put my failures on the bazaar right now if i hadn't destroyed them and i'm not sure anyone else could open them (i'm the only smuggler i've seen on my server so far so i haven't had a chance to see if another smuggler could open my failed containers)

Does anyone know a good source of the locked containers?I've killed many thugs and meatlumps on Corellia, but can't find any.

I have found a lot of containers on the thugs and such near the rebel camp on Rori. :-)

You get 250exp per container. You lvl quite fast in slicing if you find enough containers compared to the other skills. I just go around asking people if they have any locked containers they need opened and I do it for free. It seems the cances of opening it is 50/50 but I have opened almost all of them. Slicing mission terms give 100exp but it seems you are more likely to fail then containers. I am almost done with the second slicing skill and I just got Smuggler the other day.

So whats a good way to grind slicing fast?

Im kind of stuck at slice 0, is the only thing I can slice containers or what?

Yes.

You need lots of containers. Ask your friends for some, offer to open them at starports for free (remember to invest in some molecular clamps).

When you hit slicing 1, don't bother with terminals, unless things are slow at the starport, asking for containers.

At Slicing 2, find a weaponsmith to make you crates of survival knives, and crates of Weapon Upgrade Kits. Buy loads of clamps, and just sit there grinding you way to Slicing 4.

some smugglers will stock crates of knives for the noobs to buy and slice for the xp grind.Im experimenting with that myself on my vendor selling clamps and knives as well as WUKs for the novice to buy and do the slice grind. I was lucky with mine,being a weaponsmith and an armoursmith as welli mass produced my own tools to grind the xp on,took me a few days however as i was grinding with fans as opposed to clamps so some of the slices did fail.Slice 1-2 i just did by spamming on coronet for containers and slicing mission terms. To be honest the grind for one and two almost put me of smuggling as it can be tough to get started.

now what i need is some good tips for the pistol grind so i can finnaly master this proffession
