Easy question, will the solo group nerf to credit payout stop anyone here from doing it?

I think it will slow it down slightly but for me it's all about the XP. I could really care less about the payouts, I have a crafter toon to make me money.

I would say at a guess that about 70% of all people in solo groups are doing it for FS XP, I base this on what people in the solo groups I have been in are talking about in groupchat.

Not at all. Nothing will change (mark my workds y'all doom sayers). I've been doing Solo groups for over a year - for XP not for money. Only payout is changing - nothing else. (And I have 15+ mil in bank, most from selling resources on Bazaar, see what sels for most CPU and get some - don't even have Aritsan. Am Master Doc and never buffed people since Mastered, don't need the money. Now even don't need the money to travel to planets, have JTL. I could have been easilty doing 39K Rancor missions on Dath, but I always do 6K Gaping spiders (to XP with C12 nades). I can do them withoug the Solo group but XP is less, that's why nothing will change after the payout nerf.

I agreee that this solo group nerf only makes me want my jedi more, since I wnt need armor or to buy weapons, and thus will save me money in that regard.

You apparently fail to see the connection between Combat Professions and the Craftin Professions.

All crafting Professions will be efected but mostly Armorsmiths and Weaponsmiths will be hurt the most. My contention would be that if you rely on your crafter to make money then you will be effected and hurt as well. You will not be able to sell that armor for the appropriate prices you paid for those resources you have stockpiled.

If combat professions can not grind money from missions, then they will not have as much, therefore prices on Weapons and Armor will have to come down, and therfore prices on resources to make those weapons and armor will come down.

Now people with sotckpiled money, like the guy with 15 million will continue to drive the economy for a long time, so prices will stay the same for awhile. This will really hurt any new players in the game, since prices will still be hihg, but they will be unable to make the money the need that others already have.

I would have preferred a stepped approach to bringing down the payouts, to ease the strain. Say with caps of 2/3, then 1/2, then to normal.

Also if the goal was to get people to group and not really just to bring down the prices, then this will have the opposite effect, if you are going after money. If you want xp then nothing will change, but if you want money you can now get more money by yourself so why bother looking for a group at all.

You can make plenty of credits with one buff session in an improved market on Dantooine, doing Pickett missions. I make 18K average for two missions. One buff session is easily over 100k.

Actually what you say is true if everyone had no money. Problem is there are LOTS of people with millions banked. So until that money is out of the system the Crafters will not have to lower their prices. So maybe in 6 months or a year prices will come down. But it will not happen for some time. Combat professions will be nerfed immediately. Crafting professions will be nerfed but it will be down the road. If you don't have some cash saved right now, you are going to be hurting. I suggest picking up novice artisan, locating some good quality stuff and harvesting minerals, as well as picking up scout and harvesting animals. This will allow you to supplement your income from running missions until the economy stabilizes.

Good points, but I have to throw another variable in here.

With mission payouts decreasing I see that people doing these missions will increase prices on creature resources sold to crafters to compensate.

There are more than enough credits in system to sustain this inflated economy for quite some time. Other than Chassis brokers there are not that many out of game sinks for credits. For that reason alone I do not see this making a huge impact for a while. Perhaps the first change we will see is that many of the crafters that are not liquid enough to endure a pricing war will bow out.

Either way, I don't think it will get to the point where it will affectmostold timer craftersadversely because they will have the cash resources to ride this out.

They obiously did not think when implementing this.

Sologroup will still exist even with nerfed payouts.

Where is the benefit of having the other group members come with you to complete a mission? NONE!!!

If they decide to increase the mission payouts people will still solo.

If they increase the number of Mobs to make it more difficult solo people will still try it solo for the increased XP.

If you ask me they need to make having the other group members with you more beneficial and just nerfing the payout doesn't make it that way.

I don't see this as a fix to eliminate solo grouping but more in line of an attempt to bring prices down. If they are really going to try to eliminate solo grouping this is only the beginning.
