Drav and Cam,

I covered the exisitng credits in my post with the following:

"Now people with sotckpiled money, like the guy with 15 million will continue to drive the economy for a long time, so prices will stay the same for awhile. This will really hurt any new players in the game, since prices will still be hihg, but they will be unable to make the money the need that others already have."

What I meant is exactly what you responded with: That new people or people without stockpiled money will be hurt for a long time and 6 months to a year seems about right. I myself have plenty of money and am not worried about it.I stopped soloing for money quite some time ago.Just wanted to make sure that everyone understood that everything is inter-twined, and this change will eventually affect a lot albeit if it is 6 months down the road.

Of course this is only the beginning, and once they squash high-level soloing altogether with the "Combat Upgrade" as they like to call it, then the good life of the combat profession will be no longer. Fromwhat I have heard of the next nerfing, it does not sound good for combat people that like to solo, or those that do not play at times condusive to grouping.

Anyway I will stop ramblin' now.

If they make it so it is impossible to solo, they will lose over half of their player data base. See the link below to one of my other topics as to why they will...

Haven't read your message yet, will do now.

What really concerns me with this rebalance is that if they make things more difficult solo wise what is that going to do to us FS Grinders.

If we can no longer solo a creature that is 5k unarmed XP or so with buffs and whatnot, how will it impact the XP chase. This more than anything has me worried.

i know it wont stop me. yes hte money you recieve form solo group missions is nice but i mainly do it to get xp to convert in the village. plus if a good type of resource is available ill specifically take those animal missions and harvest and sell the resources. with most crafters still having a good bit of money that should still be a good source of income for a while.

but ill continue to solo if there are still groups going.

It makes no sense to me to enter into a solo-group after this nerf and only get 2k for a 40k mission in a group of 20. I might as well take two missions by myself that pay 10-12k.

I hope they increase the mission payouts and decrease the minimum number of people need to enable the higher level creatures - or else it's all quenkers, all the time.

Is one to base this off of what high quality resource is currently available or am I missing something?

And how do you determine how much to sell a resource for based upon CPU?

What would be nice, is if they let you choose the level of mission you want.

Experience, I'm pretty much a day 1 armorsmith from Bria and I can tell you that there was a recent spawn of wooly hide on corellia that went in the range of 150-200 CPU.

The value of a specific resource depends on stats and your servers ecpnomy. Wooly hide is specifically needed in Comp armor for example. I pointed to SWGcraft because there is a ton of good info there should you be so inclined to look it up. Let's just say that organic resource hunters that know what they are doing fare pretty well for themselves credit wise.

I join the groups to get the good XP missions. The money is nice to help pay for armor and grenades, though. I hope the "Solo Group" (which should now be called "XP Group", I guess) doesn't become extinct because of this change.

I have yet to run missions in a solo group for fs xp. I can kill stuff by myself and still pull off 120k fs xp a buff. The solo group nerf has little effect on me. I get all my money by selling loot, usually just the rare stuff.

Ok, so your rare stuff. For now, those that have credits stockpiled can buy your expensive loot. But many new people will not be able to afford it. So in the long term, your rare loot will be selling for less credits, or you'll have a harder time selling it anyhow.

I make most of my money selling rare stuff too. So this hurts me too.

Shhhhh they'll nerf xp groups next.

Solo groups wont become extinct now, because of the xp. And we need the xp for force xp. All this changes is when you need credits to buy new armor, you'll be better off doing quenkers solo with no group for more credits.

Actuallly I did some research today, and I found with master swords on Yavin I could get 12k Kliknick missions with no pets. Also the great plains pikit lairs looked good on dant, they were like 9k something. Again, this is being "solo" with no groups. Cause if you go "solo group" and kill 14k piket mission, you'd only get like 2 or 3k. Goofy isn't it ?

All I can say is GRIND GRIND that force xp now before the combat revamp.

I want to add.. this nerf sucks. I think it's stupid. They should add more content for us instead, give us a reason to group.

I agree with most people in this thread, it's all about the XP.

On a side note, people who can't make money other than through solo groups are just plain dumb. It's still easy to make plenty of cash to buy whatever you want (except the odd 20 million credit uber weapon). You can make a million credits a week just selling radioactives at 1CPU. That's with using only eight reactors. Or how about hunting meat for all the wealthy Docs out there? They routinely pay over 100 CPU for stuff. Or make a million credits from mission terminals, instead of one hour it'll take three hours. Again, just my opinion, money is easy in this game.

so, basically i read alot of what people posting , but surprisingly, most have not realized what has happened, and what will happen. First off, most the rich people are those that yes, loot rare items,or create uber products, or just combat grind high income missions. But what happens when income generation becomes greatly reduced? for most of us in the population are pretty much middle class. I can grind a couple million credits easily in one weekend and therefore that will push me to buy a NS lance with uber DOTS, or even pick up a couple of 200+ VKs, or some nice acklay hammers. But the main point is that we knew we had a outlet in which to quickly regenerate our income. NOT anymore. It is great that people say tha they don't care because they live off selling loot of rare drops, but after one or two hits where is your next sale coming from? from the combat revamp onwards, how long will it take for me to make 10million credits?i only have 15mio in the bank, and in the past i used to be pretty free with my spending.... but after this revamp i seriously don't know where my funds will come from. so yes, to all those people who say they sell rare loot, great... but after about half a year, where are your clients? the point is it will be nearly impossible to attain millionaire status in the new world, where as previously, one could grind a million inside1 buff sessions. Now? let see, do the math, group of 10, janta missions will be on average 30,000 per mission , that means your individual payout will be 3k per lair. in one buff session lets say you can do 2 lairs every 10 mins, that is 12 lairs per hour, and in a 3 hour buff session that is 36 janta missions multiply by your whopping 3k payout , and yes.. you can get a grand total of 108,000credtis for your 3 hours that you have wasted..... this is where the economy is heading..... in one buff session in the future, you CANNOT EVEN BUY HALF A CRATE OF brandy, you cannot even buy half a crate of canapes, you cannot even buy 1/3'd of a full set of comp, for 108.000, you cannot even buy a decent VK........
