Thread: How is it fair to new players that the Jedi grind now takes twice as long?

Because, let's not fool around. At 30:1, they might as well take out converting combat xp altogether. I'm just glad I'm half way through my grind, because it just got a whole lot worse for you new players.
let's crunch some numbers.
As a master BH/master pistoleer, I usually goto the village when I cap all my weaponxp. This means that I'll have 1.2 million pistol xp, 900k Carbine and 900k Rifle xp. That's 3 million total combat xp, which converts to 100k FS xp. Now I usually have right around 300k combat xp to go along with that, which would be another 100k of FS xp. But now, since my usual 300k combat xp will converted into 10,000 FS xp instead of 100,000, I'll be getting a measly 110k total FS xp, instead of 200k. which is basically half of my previous xp, essentially doubling the time it will take to grind to initiate.
And I could beat myself in the head, because I had 900k combat xp yesterday, and not knowing about the change, I decided to wait until today to dump in in the village. Either they don't want anymore Jedi around, or they just want to keep people playing longer to get more subscription $$$.

Let me answer that with another question.
How fair is it that many pre cu jedi took 6 - 8 months to grind out their template and now u can do it in 2 months max ??????
Why doesnt everyone quit complaining and get on with it!!!!
Oh and on a side note I ground before and after the CU (grinding my alt to Padowan now) and believe me, it is much faster to do it now than it was then!!!!!

if their aim is to make Less Jedi, then they should not just reward the jedi profession by giving them an Alt. They should make Alts an equal Quest Based unlock rather than something for Jedi only, How fair is that?

Ok , they sh1t out with the FS grind , but when the jedi grind comes along look at it this way
Pre-cu the most i could grind in a 9 hr non stop grind was 1.6 Mil
Post-cu i changed my temp a little and got 2 Million xp in 3 hrs

My whole thought on the conversion change is: I don't care. I want to have a Jedi toon. I will do what I have to do to get a Jedi toon. If it takes me a year of casual game time (for me that's about 3 to 5 hours a week), then so be it. I bought the game with Jedi in mind. I read the box and admired the cover art with Jedi. I started the game receiving cryptic messages hinting to becoming a Jedi. I became glowie last night at CL40. Will I need help? Of course I'll need help; a lot of help. Will I get help? I'm sure I will because there are so many helpful players who want to help you (especially on Wanderhome). Complaining won't change what's already been changed. I choose to accept it, adapt to it, and to overcome it.

Man im am soo freaking glad i decided to grind to jedi during the 2x exp week. I grinded all the FS exp i need in 3 days, thats it. I dont plan on going jedi, i just wanted to leave the option open incase i change my mind. And to think i was just going to wait to grind FS exp. And with the pub coming out that divides the group exp, id be pissed. I do feel for those wh are grinding to it, my adivce dont do it all at once, unless it 2x exp, take a break evvery hour or so, or youll go crazy.

Umm, you need 6 unlocks at 3 weeks (minimum) per so that's 18 weeks... show me a way to do it in 2 months max please

It's amazing how many responses were bound to turn out like this. And as an issue of being fair, well, I'm not really sure -- it just makes the drivetime a lot longer and the trips to the village more often. There has to be a better fix for grenade abusing FS grinders than simply adding a zero in the code.

Cool, so next patch makes jedi xp 1:48 instead of 1:6 so that now matches the pre-CU jedi grind of 8 months'ish instead of 1. Everyone happy? (Well you may well be if you're already templated, that's called "selfish" btw, go look it up in the dictionary)
