Thread: why the rush?

just wondering about this . . .
alot more threads about the best way to grind in CU have been popping up which makes me wonder . . . why are we in such a big hurry to get jedi? If you check the jedi boards or talk to some . . . nost will say they are super screwed right now and hope for a fix in the near future . . . yet we want so bad to be in their situation that we grind grind grind away all our time.
As for me . . . yeah I go to the village to open my trees and complete my chosen quests . . . but as for XP trade in . . . well it will come eventually and hopefully when I do attain jedi . . . I won't have to deal with all the bad stuff they have right now. Well that and maybe I can get all you faster grinders to help me kill Mel with your spiffy new jedi

I have a template that I can grind a good amount of XP with and can still enjoy the game on the days when I don't want to grind. Not only are jedi having problems at the moment...I would just burn myself out worrying about getting it as fast as possible. I'm not saying any person is wrong for wanted to finish as fast as possible, I'm just adding my opinion

To be completely honest, I think it is because we don't know how the game will change next. People are in a hurry to get things done before the next nerf, change, or otherwise dramaticly different system.
I'm not in a tremendous hurry, personally ..I've been FS since the new system was released and I'm still not Jedi. However, the CU has done a lot to slow me down even more than my previous casual pace.

People have been rushing to get it done a.s.a.p. forever. Pre-CU was nade grinding, now I dont know what it is. I did mine the old fashioned way. TKM/Fencer capped both of them 1 time per day spending no more then 1.5 hours per day on the FS exp grind. I was able to PvP, PvE and do my grinding. I am happy I made it a long term goal now because it cost me practically no credits and I still played the other aspects of the game.

People are in a rush because no one wants to spen 2 years getting a Jedi.

Yeah exactly. Why send 2 years or more?? I mean we all know that in the life of your character you can go from a powerless dolt to a FS Padawan in like a months time right? No way would a FS noob need to have years of training as a padawan to become a Jedi Knight..why that would be intolerable!! Remember...Luke Skywalker became a Jedi night in liek what, 3 months?? What?? You say he didnt? Hows that? It took him almost 7 years!!!! No way. Glad I can totally not role play and get my toon to Jedi in a month. Yeah thats some great immersion play.
All you people who are impatient and wont spend months of your RL to make you toon progress realistically make me sick.

Well i Rushed and now im waiting on the old dude...but to tell u the truth i wish i hadent....i went w/ some freinds to the geo caves and DWB and we had a blast...i wasted so muich time grinding i didnt know wat fun really was....i may even put off jedi for a month or two..

No rush... been playing since week 1, and I have 2 of my 6 FS branches done... even when I unlock paddy I plan to revert back to a mostly pure crafter and then do the whole FS thing all over again with a combat charcter. All the while, enjoying the content and picking up FS stuff where it meshes with my play...
I know some think I am nuts for this approach, but my original intent for my toon was a crafter, I'm a fish (not great for fighting 
),and I already had enough headed that way that just didn't make sense to switch, but I want to do both; so, this is my approach (second account not an option for me)

i am enjoying the content the game has right now as opposed to grinding...theres no hurry at all. Liek you say, Jedi Padawans dont have an easy life right now so i'd rather wait lol

lol I havent been rushing till now. I've played since day 1 and gave up on the holo grind when it said master bounty hunter. Back then mastering BH was near impossible, well now in about 2.5 weeks I will unlock my last branch and heck ya im rushing to get the xp and seeing episode 3 tonight will be all the inspiration i need to finish

yea i unlocked my jedi and i can vouch that everything for a jedi right now is totally F**ked up...cuz pre-cu u could use ur LS as soon as u crafted it...now u cant touch it until u finish your paddy trials...even then its so hard to get xp that the only way to get enough to get you goin is to get into a group and u can try to keep away from the vis part but that takes so long and alot of groups wont let u do this just because they need to get the xp so they can use it for something else...me i didnt take the advice of some of my guildmates and use the little/no vis solution and i have paid the price...and if i can throw in one more opnion...DONT GET JEDI UNTILL THIS IS FIXED!

Well that will be when I unlock...when its fixed. I solo hunt everything and casual grind so I wont be eligable probably until like 3 months for now.
