well i finished phase 4 and went to talk to captain, and it was buged. i sent in ticket about 2 1/2 weeks ago no response sent in more no response now i log in says mission failed(even though i did the mission) i talk to csr-dustinm and he says since phase changed nothing csrs can do about it and im pretty much screwed. thank you and good bye.

yea i really wanted my melee defence also. i hope they do get to you before phase change. this is really pathetic that soe cannot take their stupid mistakes and fix it for people. 3weeks is a long time for people who are unable to play as much as they would like. now i must wait an extra 3 weeks. /sigh

I did the qeust for the Captain, i chose MELEE DEFENSE, and WTH do i unlock, ranged accuracy?! what the hell am I a swordie gonna do with ranged accuracy, way to go devs, screwed me the mouth again

Just a question I'm sure you've answered already, but have you talked to Noldan? 'Cause when I unlocked melee def, and went to talky with the captain he blathered about the 'I'm busy stuff', and I thought 'I'm fekked..' but I thought I'd try to talk to the dress wearing trando anyway, and lo and behold, I could train the melee def boxes. =) So it's really worth checking that out before you start bashing your head against a wall.

The same happened with me. I heard about all the bugs, and thought this was one of them. Tried noldan as you said and /cheer

I had the same problem. Ive completed the quest 2 hours bofore the down, it was said You complete your task on the screen, but the captain doesnt want to unlock the quest. I talk also to Paemos and Noldan, and I still have only 3 trees unlock, but I should have 4. Ive sent a ticket just after seeing this, and I hope a csr will unlock the tree for me. : /

The Capt. says "You're busy...too much on my plate" garbage.
But in my journal the quest says complete and I trained some boxes. Worth a look before you start spamming tickets.

Same here. My quest journal shows complete. I have 3 boxes in Melee Defense trained.

This happened to me, sort of. I finished the mission and got the unlock and trained 2 boxes in it. But a day or so ago when I logged on it said that I failed. But I can still train in it.

yeah, this bug was posted to the forums the day the phase changed. It was also posted that if you did what was needed to complete it, and you were never told you were unlocked, that you probably were.
Don't remember where I saw it, but I do remember seeing it.

I really don't think that's fair, and agree with everyone else who's posted thus far...
But have you tried to submit ANOTHER ticket, because we all know (and it's been proved on these very boards) that CSR's suffer from a severe lack of communication between each other (and the devs).
It's possible that if you send in a second ticket, a different CSR will recieve it, and unlock the rest of the branch for you. It shouldn't make a difference what phase you're on, as long as you can prove (point them to your quest log, they should be able view those) that you really did finish the quest. It should only be a matter of flipping the probverbial switch to unlock the tree for you.

I spent all weekend grinding, not reading the forums. So, this morning, I go to work and start reading the forums. Get panic'd because I am just banking exp and didn't even try to learn after getting the completed message. So, I run home for lunch and Bamm I am bugged by this one too. Completed the quest but can't train. I submitted a ticket, I hope they can fix it, I would hate to have to wait for it to come back around again.

I know frmo personal experience, that it doesn't matter what phase you are in, they can unlock your branch. I had my Phase 4 unlocked, even though I was bugged. I had same issue, Captain kept saying I was "to busy". CSR logged in and unlocked my branch while I was sleeping. He logged in and sent me an e-mail 45 minutes or so after I sent the CSR ticket.
This was DURING Phase 4. I had a friend on another server, who just started Phase 1 and had this issue. CSR did the same thing, unlocked his Phase 4 branch, even though server was in Phase 1.
Conclusion: Send another ticket, and another if possible. Someone will do it, they must.
