Thread: Focus Thread: Phase 3 Combat Quest

Hey everyone, it has been brought to my attention that everyone is having problems with this quest for some of the following reasons. Please add any more reasons you can think of or discuss ones that I have listed here. Thanks.


1. Commander walks slow and won't go up hills. Making any base besides the 3 closest impossible.

2. Turrets are doing 300damage a sec from up to 1000-4000m away. You engage a turret, get smacked and try to run... you get hit over 1000m away then when you die and clone... you still get hit from turret all the way at the outpost through hills and walls etc....

3. 2 hour wait inbetween bases (group1 does mission, you wait 2 hours, group 3 steals your commander... wait 2 hours...)

The turrets are our big issue. We did the base 558 meters from the science outpost. Not only are the turrets shooting through walls, hills, the base. BUT after they kill youwhen you walk out of the scienceoutpost's cloning centerit shoots you again! Evidently dying doens't clear agro on them and even though they are 558 meters away and on the other side of a mountian they can still shoot you! You have to wait in the cloning center for about 10 minutes for agro to clear or go incap and have someone drag you to the ship terminal! There were about 6 people trapped inside the cloning center at the science outpost when I logged off just now.

Edited to add that we are on Intrepid server.

i would say you hit the nail on the head. the turrets you can get around, but not being able to use all of thebases creates an impossible situation at the few viable bases.

The commander one is most important.

The turrets you can get by with a jedi and kill them fast however,

The commander is just a pain in the a$$.

I took a base 3k away and walked 500m before he "gave up". Wouldn't walk up/down hills etc.

loose the poison part and this would be doable. I dont care if i have to walk him all over dath as long as i know its just a matter of fighting off the Sith. Making only 3 bases viable means they are camped. You can attempt to make a queue theres no way to enforce it when some other group runs up and steels your commnader.

It just took us 1 hour to get 3000 of 7000 metrs we had between Village and base.

After this 1 hour or 3000 meters the Commander despawnt. Ty alot for this nice Quest ...



Not to mention that we supported our guildys with 4 Jedi because there where hughe NS and Rancor spawns by the bases ... so 3 Turrets +10 rancors +some ns+ Siths....

Also why not allowing the Npc to be invited to a multiperson vehicle ride. .... there are so much Escord missions of Npcs which take quite long and are very buggy becaus ethe npc gets stuck in some house/hill/wall/tree/yougetitdontyou?

this quest is really jacked. my party of four took the quest, got out to the base some 6,700m from the village, had an insane amount of mountains in the way and got all the way to the 4000m mark when our commander decided to die. you need to fix the spawn timers because ive been waiting at my second camp now for about a half an hour and no spawn, and that commander needs to be fixed, because in all reality if i had a gun stuck to my head i wouldnt randomly stop, turn around or walk a quarter meter p/minute.


quest is jacked, and it was supposed to have been fixed..

this quest needs a lot of fixes (turrets, commander moving faster than walking pace and not getting stuck, etc.), but the easiest way to make a quick fix would be to at least double the amount of time you have to get the commander back to the village.

yes here has been my day so far, 2 hours finding disks, finally got one to the close base. Figured out the turrets woere bugged so waited an hour to find a master defender. Then had the base stolen from us so had to wait 2 hours tryign to figure out what the timer is. Then hey it pops again. Noprob we know what to do now, go in get the guy and then he will not walk up a hill. So we spend an hour trying to find a NON-existent path does not include walking up a hill.



So 8 hours of pure FUN, Sure glad i paid to have this much fun. Come on SOE. I think I really want to try this again. Sure wish I didnt have 1.9 mill banked in combat prowess. I helped on this mission 3 times last phase 3 and it was doable. Now I have the quest and it toast.

I did this on Intrepid, the only inexcusable glitch was having turrets kill you 1000m away. I got past that part since the turrets are easy to destroy, and were'nt hitting for anything unusual. So that just needs to be fixed on Intrepid, but it's not bad.

The Commander is the key. Drop the poison. Someone tried to steal my commander, he failed . (In fact i used him as a distraction to get the comm myself). But as it is, only the 3 closest bases are doable. Right now on the first day, there's a line, and people aren't waiting in line. Maybe by next week, this won't be such a problem. But right now it makes the 3 bases a horrible free-for-all.

How many ppl have been able to complete this mission so far? I have tried it three times, twice from second and third closest base from the village. The closet I got was 24 m from the village when he decided his time had expired.
