Just a quick thx to some of the ppl on this forum. I have discovered 4000 Commando and imp dets this week after my previous post on the benefits of C12s got replies saying to give this a go!

C12sARE the gateway drug and I can honestly say that Jedi will now be an achieveable goal in the game for me now that i can use imp dets. So thx to those people who said that this is the way forward.

Although the 'lair milking' method of 500k FS a buff is a little tough for me I can easily do 350k - 400k per 3hr30 buff....and no amount of tearing back and forth throught the squill cave will come close to that.

If you use this forum and want to be Jedi and are STILL anti-grenades then you really have to re-evaluate your standpoint and view it as a means to an end. The template change took me less than a day and I have done virtually 2 branches this week as a casual player.

So thx for the suggestions and continued luck to all.

I'm going for Jedi and I will not use one grenade. I'd like to feel a sense of accomplishment when I unlock, and using nades takes no effort or skill to do.

I havent used a single grenade... i know it'd bea lot easier, but i'd rather be prepared for the next boring grind.

How are grenades easier? A non-grenade grind is no harder just slower.

Jedi will be hard work but 'spin attacking' squills that takes 5 times longer is hardly going to 'prepare' me better!

And a sense of accomplishment is all about personal goals. Mine is to reach Jedi and I now know I will.

i agree, how does grenades make the grind any less boring??difficulty and boredome are to diff. things.. this wya were not bored as long. and grinding isnt difficult now a days in this game, period. so instead of tapping a hot key for spin attack or area attack, we tap a hot key to toss a few nades and finish twice as fast? no more difficult, no more sense of accomplishment, just less of the boredome. lol personally id rather be bored for 6 weeks then1 months. (or however long it takes to grind out 6 tree's normally)

Ya i grind with nades and it is boring as hell. When i get jedi i will still feel a sense of achivement. Just look at it this way when you get jedi will you fight vynocks the whole way its harder and longer than fighting huurtons but maybe youll feel better when you hit master 40 years down the line lol. Sorry i just think you guys are goofy for not using nades, sure they arnt for everyone. Some people it will be to hard to always buy them they are expensive. But to you who dont like nades good luck to you and hope to see you after we all get jedi

the way i see it, i dont see it as preparing myself for a longer grind. i see it as making this grind as painless as possible so i dont get hit with the 1-2 punch of fs grind then jedi grind. atleast this grind will go a lil smoother.

The only thing really keeping me from trying nades out is finding a supply on my server. Kinda hard to track em down sometimes.

I have tried the nade grind and I found it very boring :zZZZ

I agree with everyone else who notes that grinding out the trees with "old-fashioned" combat gets you ready to grind jedi.

I'm not anti-grenade, I'm pro-combat.

I use nades, and I must say, being a melee prof, and spamming an AOE attack isn't what i'd call skill. If skill is picking two huurton stalker missions, running up to the lair, and spamming your spin attack...meh.\

Nades are just simpler and are less stressful...the downside, it'll cost about 6m to buy enough nades to fill your branches.

In all honesty, nades take more skill than any reg prof... I'd rather throw nades than spam the same special over..and over...and over....until my head explodes.

I chose grenades to use because I think it is fun, and a bit more challenging than the 0 damage I took on my other prof.

Also, I've played games, and done things FAR more boring than FS. FS is litterally a Joke when it comes to grinding.

FYI I'm not doing it for jedi, I'm doing it for fun atm.
