K so i go in a house to look for stuff while waiting for old man and what incredable timing...

Notice he give me the "have something to discuss" messege the very second I walk in a house... and am getting hit will the 7 vendor spams of "blaa blaa blaa buy this" ... likely did not see the messege do to thescreen fizzling when entering a building for the update.

Then I see as soon as the fizzle clears I see ... old man runs away

look at my log and notice...

30 seconds between "something to discuss" and old man running... you have got to be kidding..

Now what do I need to do to get him to come back?

Ah yes, the familiar sound of someone whining and not taking responsiblity for their actions. Yes, the system screwed you over. The old man screwed you over. SOE is sticking it to you hardcore man. If I were you I would quit.

A similar thing happened to me. I had gone into a faction base to grab a mission. While I was inside I got the message about a mysterious stranger running off. He had appeared within 5 minutes of my logging on and I had not been expecting him yet. I did receive another visit from the Old Man about 2 hours later while I was just out hunting. So I would not worry about it, he will show back up.

Well you did go into the house looking for stuff knowing full well he was coming, just not exactly when.

A better plan of action would have been to simply wait somewhere with less spatial spam, sit there and do nothing until he arrived. Wouldn't have cost you a great deal of time in the grand scheme, and would have saved you the annoyance of waiting again.

You chose not to simply wait, now you get to enjoy the consequences of your choice by getting to wait longer. If it's BS, then look in the mirror for the reason.

But yes he will come back usually pretty quickly after he leaves not the usual first visit timer.

I saw him hanging around in Mos Omenos. Not a joke. He was just walking back and forth between two buildings. Stuck around for about ten minutes, then I got bored of tickling him and I left, no idea how much longer he stayed. Maybe he isn't coming for you, he's waiting for you to come to him. Now that would require force sensitivity

Don't listen to the grumblers, getting glowy and the visit are still important to SOME of us. Just wait he will come back soon.
