Thread: Phase 4 Melee Defence Bug: only reply if...

OK not trying to be patronising but READ THIS BEFORE YOU REPLY!!!
DO NOT REPLY IF... You took Melee Defence last time phase 4 was here & took Ranged Speed this time & completed the unlock without any problems. Good for you but it has no bearing on this.
DO NOT REPLY IF... You havent' had any problems with FS unlocks. Once again good for you but it has ne bearing on this.
Now, for the rest of you
It looks to me as there is one major culprit for this problem but I also have my suspicions about another possible factor.
It seems obviouse that everyone who is having problems took Ranged Speed last time around at phase IV and completed it. They are now unable to take Melee Defence from Captian Sarguillo because he treats you as though you have just completed a quest. I think everyone who has the problem is in this situation.
Now what I was wondering was how many of these people (like myself) are also in the situation that they took Captain Sarguillo's 3rd phase quest (The Sith camp resue missions) but did NOT complete it. I have seen a couple of people mention this but it is getting lost in all the other posts.
So I'd be interested to hear if you have...
A: Taken Ranged Speed in the first phase 4, completed every unlock mission that you have attempted & then got stuck attempting the Melee Defence quest in the current phase.
B: Taken Ranged Speed in the first phase 4, accepted but failed to complete Sarguillo's phase 3 resue mission & then got stuck attempting the Melee Defence quest in the current phase.
C: Got stuck attempting the Melee Defence quest in the current phase & don't fall into either catagory A or catagory B. (provide details please).
I'm hoping your responces will help throw a little more light on the situation and then we can perhaps point someone like TIGGS to take a look at this thread.

Ifallinto Category A: Completed Ranged Speedgiven by Captain Sarguillo last Phase IV with no problems,completed Melee Accuracy given by Captain Sarguillo this last Phase III with no problems, now I can't take Melee Defenseon current Phase IV.

Phase 3 I took ranged defense in reflexes and I am bugged
There are some that did melee defense last time and cannot take ranged this time. But those are less frequent it seems

If you know any of these people could you ask them to reply here and declare themselves as catagory C because I have not seen any reports of this in my browsings.

I am not sure if I can post here, but, I took the Melee defence last 4'th Phase and I can't take the Ranged speed this phase 
So, I am affected as all ofyou guys.
So, I am affected as all ofyou guys.It dosent seem to matter whether you took Ranged Speed or Melee Defence last phase..........you can still be bugged in this phase (its random)

You know, now that you mention it. The last phase 3 I took the rescue mission from the captain to help a friend. Last phase 4 I took ranged speed from the captain. This phase 3 I took the ranged defense from Dageerin and this phase 4 I took melee defense from the captain and was bugged. Now what catches me as odd is that a day or so before phase 4 took effect I talked to the captain and he still showed me as not being complete with the last rescue mission although I got the crystals and my quest log shows it complete. I wonder if that had something to do with it.

Well it would seem my theory has a few holes in it
Suprised to see that this is also effecting people who are tryin to do the ranged quest and have already done melee, I had only seen posts of people claiming to have had no problems attempting it that way around so far. Though I still haven't heard of anyone who has been able to complete if they took ranged first time around.

I'm under the section A as well I could just become Initiate now (7 branches unlocked already), but I'd rather have melee defense then vehicle control or survivallol
