Hi,

I would like to hear your thoughts on my suggestion that PvP gained points must be worked into Force Sensitive grind in order to unlock jedi.

I think it is so bad to have so many full template jedi with ZERO PvP experience.

Thank You

So what?

Is PvP the be-all end-all? Can't we just play to enjoy other aspects of the ig experience?

yeah i agree. i dont think general PVP should have much to do with unlocking jedi, that would just be aimless, which is what we want to get away from.Maybe something special, like fighing oher jedis or Jedi npc's but i think that was already the case for FRS.

May the force be with us all!!

Combat will never be forced, but War is coming. Are you with the empire, or against them?

Some of the best and most helpful people do not pvp, at least a light jedi sould not have a PVP requirement. Darkside is something different.

So sad to see this go out the window. Guess it's back to WOW for me.

Not everyone chooses to be Force Sensitive to be a Jedi. Should a PvE loot hunter who only wants the "Luck" branch be forced to PvP? Should an Armoursmith who wants the FS crafting bonuses need to PvP? And if so, who exactly isa CL1 craftergoing to PvP against in order to gain PvP points?

All that aside, how would you propose this requirement not devolve into fightclubs like the old FRS?

The SWG Forums. You will never find a more wretched hive of

well, we already have to murder millions of creatures, why not have us have to murder tons of people as well? If I remember correctly, thats exactly what you had to do to become a jedi in the movies.

dark side FRS requires it, or did, not sure if it will in the future.

dark side has to fight and win to advance in FRS. as it should be, and light side should be pvp optional . Light side is not about combat all the time, it is actually about avoiding conflicts , but being able to protect yourself if all else fails.

Welcome to the old F.R.S. system which was exploited to no end and eventually removed by the developers because of it.

I dont think PvP should be a key to becomming Jedi. I know jedi that just do PvE except when defending against BHs. I think it would be a good idea to have some experience in PvP so you can defend yourself, but I dont think it needs to be a requirement.

Current PvP if I kill the same person again I get no points and a message that says so. Meaning, you must diversify your kills to earn points. If you do not want jedi then just do the Force sensitive grind but you do not unlock Jedi. If you want Jedi you should have PvP points.

Advantages are action packed evenings as Jedi need PvP and now Jediseekers need points to unlock Jedi. What you get is a true combat experience and players that truly enjoy playing live internet combat gaming. Jedi should be PvP based with some NPC and Quest content. If you chose te get luck or crafting or whatever Force Sensitive branch for non combat, more power to you, just don't unlock Jedi until you earn enough PvP points and then you are visited again.

IMHO,

I dont really care for pvp. I triedit a few timesand have seen victory/defeat/death/stalemates.

The whole process is boring to me. Just to ME. I know others love it and that is great.

It is just "not" what I prefer to do.

To make it a "requirement" to be a jedi? hmm..I dunno...see what happens. If the SOE devs go for it then fine.

I would rather not, however.

Palpatine-
The dark side of the force is a pathway to many abilities "some" consider to be... unnatural.

Anakin-
Is it possible to learn this power?

Palpatine-
Not from a jedi.

I hate to say it but going Jedi you will get "Forced PVP" in the way of BH visits if you get on the terms. Although I dont think it should be a requirement to have set number of PVP points to go jedi, I think all looking to go Jedi should experiencePVP for a while before they unlock so they will know what to expect. I have hunted some on my BH that cry exploit when I knock them down and they cant get up only to be made to look silly when I ask themif they used the KD recovery. One even asked me what that was.....
