Lately ive been grinding alot.... 1 more quest and ill be done with them at the village ( aside from getting the XP ) and ive been grinding like a crazy man....well the thing is with all this grinding as we all know it gets very repetative...many people have quit the game because of this grind.....many people have stoped doing the things they used to once do just to get XP for jedi. I have a small sugestion...

I suggest to do what i did and this is to simply go do something else....no no i do not mean go outside by all means stay away from the bright orangish orb in the sky but i mean if there are other games you have play those! I have been playing a little Counter-Strike ( aka counter-hack ) and the SIMS2 id recomend the sims2 more.

There is also Half Life 2.....well....its half life 2 what else is there to say lol

Anyway the point im trying to make here is alot of us need to take a break including myself....mayby go do the things you once loved in the game or do some new things. do what i did and just explore the game....get some friends together so your not alone and bored and go travel to the different POI's....mayby go kill some tough monsters. I know me and a group of people i didnt even know got togethor to go kill Krayt's....sure there wasnt much XP or loot for me but what i did earn was fun....

Im glad everyone took the time to read this I really wish everyone here luck on grinding FS and i hope we can all get threw it i really hate reading the "Goodbye to everyone..." posts of hos people are sick of grinding so they quit. It saddens me to see people leave such a great community due to repetative grinding

Everyone be happy!!!!!

LoL yeah i usually take about 3 - 4 day breaks and by that time i usually find myself saying... "Man...i wanna get back on now i miss the game >,< " so even if ya dont have any games or anything else to do just take a day nap or something lol just a few day break seems to help me get back in the mood to do a few things!!

LoL i dont think i have any spare XP on me at the moment rofl

I highly reccomend this aswell, i didnt go play another game though, i gave myself an 'ingame' holiday (im ashamed i even hact to do that...but it helped) dedicated entirely to group hunting, PvPing (im not very good in pvp, but i improves so much) andNPC questing, and when i went back to the grind it just seemes not as tedious...best 7 day holiday of my life, totally worth it

the grind wouldnt be bad if everyone had a good place to hunt..... even if u come back in a month the games still gona be broken and everything camped to hell... SOE rather put in new expantions they can sell instead of fixing what really needs to be done :-/

btw i took 3 months off came back played 5 days and leaveing in anger cuz SOE did a rollback on my server, lost 700k EXP.

I agree about there should be more places to hunt....basically if you want to get good XP you have to go to dant...now i know i know there are other places you can go to get good XP but as a majority MOST people go to dant all the time and that in itself can get boring staying on the same planet all the time. Personally i think that in JTL 1 or 2 new planets should have been encourparated.....i mean in every Star Wars game up to this one i believe HOTH was always in star wars game i may be wrong and im probably am... im just saying all the ones ive played HOTH is always in them it seems.

Anyway my sugestion to SOE has been many a time ot add new areas. FinalFantasy11 ( another popular MMORPG that i play ) recently came out with a expansion back a while ago.....the only new thing they really added WAS new areas due to the game was out for a year and people got bored of the new places.... i have found myself going back to that game just to enjoy the new places....i had been playing that game for a year and it took me about a year to get bored of those places then bam a new expansion with so many more places for me to go look at.

SOE should put more places with more POI's that way we have things to explore and look at and not just go to the same planets over and over ( it seems only places i go anymore are Naboo/coreila Dant then Dath... usually in that exact order lol )

They should put in high level mobs on all planets that generate the 5k/500 xp. It will be a great way to spread out the hunting and bring commerce to lesser used planets like Lok and Rori. If people could go to those places and still get the xp needed, they would get used a lot more. Tat, naboo and corellia should probably stay where they are more or less to prevent all the newbs from dying left and right. Those planets are pretty popular as it is.

It is my hope that they implement some kind xp boost for being away from the game like WoW did when they patch in this new combat upgrade. The whole grind thing has turned me off from swg in so many ways. Basically, if they pull off the CU successfully, I'll stick around and enjoy it, if not, I am picking up a copy of WoW.

the way i see it is this if you are grinding from scratch it takes you approx 120 days to unlock all your branches at 60K FS xp (done easily in one buff session) it takes you approx 120 days to fill all your 6 branches so there is no real reason to call this a grind just take your time and stop wasting credits on grenades that only amount to a mind numbingly boring grind.

Just keep in mind that it is not a race to become a Jedi. No-one says you have to do it right away. I'm working towards it but at my own pace. When the village phase changes I do the quest and then maybe get some xp. If I need a break I do some Jtl missions which I love. Again nothing says you have to master pilot right away either. I agree the grind can kill you and make you lose interest but go at your own pace. Ive been playing the game since Aug 03 and I look at becoming a Jedi something that is going to take time and worth waiting for.
