-Added some additional foods that some templetes may find helpfull
small updates such as changing a few things or added a few things here and there wont be listed (except as a post, i will list them in the post) but not the updates here. these will only list big updates, new method additions, etc..
Ok so its my first time writing a guide so show a lil mercy..I know its been beat to death, but theres so many ways to grind xp now for the villiage that i thought id post it all here and take tips from others responses and add them with your name as the poster. first: the basics. i know ill be forgetting things in this, so right now its in beta. ill add things as im told or remember. ill try to keep it as simple as i can. ill group the categories into non grenade methods, grenade methods, hybrid methods (using nades and weapons) and tips and special notes and reiterations
Just so you know, all tactics listed were done with a solo group and the extra group xp bonus and extra creature spawn a solo group gives.
Favorite xp grinding professions: (combat related, sorry med/crafters. no experience in that field)
master swordsman (preferebly speed capped)
tkm
rifleman (speed capped)
pikeman(speed /accuracy capped)
commando (or atleast 4-0-0-0 commando)
basically anything that can throw out alot of damage to multiple enemies at once. those are the most common it seems.
VERY BASIC GRINDING NEEDS AND KNOWLEDGE
1: BUFFS. anything 2k or higher is good( or depending on defenses can go lower) music buffs are also very good to have
2: foodnever hurts+. look for the following: vasarian brandy: 300-400 to focus/mind/willpower for up to 45 minutes
ahrisa: forgot exact number, but several hundered to focus for around 35-45 minutes
Canape: similiar to brandy, but food instead of drink. has more power, but less duration.
synsteak: reduces damage by 45% for a certain amount of time, OR 33 strikes.
(those are the most common. lots of others, ill post them as i review my methods)
3: armor ( ubese armor or composite or padded recommended but not required. if ubese, try to get around 75% kinetic, or composite base lvl's of 60-70. shouldnt even need anything more then that for grinding.)
4: solo group (very needed for group xp bonus and extra creatures per lair)
FOODS THAT MAY HELP SOME PEOPLE OTHER THEN BRANDY/AHRISA/SYNSTEAK
1: burnout sauce. +7.5-12.5 unarmed damage for 12-36 minutes.
2: travel biscuits. +8-12 terrain negotiation for 12-35 minutes
3: Vercupti Of Agazza Boleruuee. +375-600 to all 3 primary ham's (health/action/mind) but only for 6-12 minutes.
4: neutron pixies and muon gold. small stat enhancments, including mind. downside is they have a downer at the end of the duration that can hurt in mid combat.
GRINDING METHODS: ALL WEAPONS (NO GRENADES REQUIRED)
1: Triple Mastery method: Using this method, speed is key. you want to kill and move on as quickly as possible. i personally have not used this method, but iv talked to people who have done it. the person i talked to was a tkm/swordsman/fencer. master of all 3. There is no special trick to this, just grind and move. grind and move. the math is like this. 900k weapons xp + 90k combat xp then 900k swordsman xp +90k combat xp then 900k fencer xp +90k combat xp gives you this totall: 2 million, 700 thousand weapons xp (2,700,00) and 270k combat xp. This converts into 180k force sensitive xp. not to shabby. (note, has been confirmedthat it is possibleto cap 3 master professions in one good buff session for a dedicated grinder. thx to brettzors for this confirmation)
2: single/double mastery, casual grinding: again no special trick, same principle as the above mentioned method, but more focused towards combat xp or capping quickly for return trips. usually done on dath. on rancors or baznitches, so they can run to the villiage more easily. i have done this, and it is decent for xp. not the fastest, which is why i named it the casual grinding method. not quite as hardcore grind based as the others. i was able to get 2 hand cap 900k +90k combat xp, then about 700k 1 hand xp +70k combat xp. numbers (roughly) for this method: 1.6 mil weapons xp and 160k combat xp wield you: 106,666 force sensitive xp (actuall number based on how much xp you cap)
GRINDING METHODS: Grenade based
Basic Grenade method needs and wants:
1: composite armor with medium-high blast resists (i personally use full suit)
2: same requirments as basic. buffs/entertainer buffs/food optional
3: atleast some combat (atleast enough combat to finish off stragglers)
4: c12's of course, i dont settle for anything less then 880 max damage. 860 max if i cant find anything better. and 3.0 speed.
5: if your wallet allows it, buy several stacks of 32% damage grenade powerups. usually run around 2k for a stack of 10.
6: solo group (bonus xp and creatures)
fyi: c12's are able to be used by anybody EXCEPT WOOKIES at any lvl or profession. the weakest of the grenades, but helpfull if you dont want to change your templete. also all grenade methods will be somewhat lengthy and step by step. be prepared to read.
1: Basic grenade grinding method:(assuming buffs/food/nades/sologroup, etc.. are all taken care of)
step 1: travel to your planet of choice (i find stalkers easier to take out with c12's. less ham then baznitches, and 20% to blast)
step 2: get 2 missions. (using stalkers as an example) travel to first mission. hop off the bike, equip a weapon and spam 3 or 4 specials on the lair, or untill a bit of white is showing. the lair has an initial spawn of 5, this attacking will trigger about 5 more. peace the lair and just stand there without attacking anything. makes it easier if you take this time to, or have already, an entire top and bottom row toolbar cued with grenades for easy spamming.
step 3: after about 7 or 8 or so of the stalkers are aggro you, head into the middle of the lair. attack the lair normally first, becuase starting with grenades sometimes tosses them at the stalkers, which will result in little accuracy and wasted nades.
step 4: keep tossing and manuevering to try to catch as many as possible in the blast radius.
step 5: do not stop tossing till your cues are used up, or all the stalkers are dead, dying or running. althought there will be a few stalkers not aggrod you (since only a certain amount aggro at once) after a stalker leavs the circle or dies, another will take its place. so keep the nades coming, so you can hit him from the start.
step 6: after all animals are dead or retreating (or by this time, some are returning to the lair) switch to a weapon and finish them off (cuts into xp some, but saves time and nades)
step 7: heal up, recue nades, etc.. whatever you need to do. then attack the lair normally untill it reaches half health. peace it, let them gather and aggro (5 npc's) , and repeat steps 1-6. kill lair with a normal weapon, as the xp you get isnt worth the several crates of nades needed to kill the lair alone.
doing this exact method on stalkers, i was able to secure no less then 40k combat xp per lair (on a bad spawn) upwards of 70k per lair. and some random low amount of weapons xp (but hey, xp is xp right?)
1: Commando Grenade Method , heavy hitting: No need for me to type this out again. just know that every step is identical to the previous method, except replace c12's with any of the commando grenades (thermal detonators, imperial detonators, glop grenade, c22's, etc..) also, word has it that with thermal detonators, baznitches are better then stalkers. could be. i have yet to try this, but i want to. rough amount of force sensitive xp earned per buff session: anywhere from 150k to 400k+ force sensitive xp. phenominal. expensive, but phenominal (good thermals tend to go for 60k+ a crate now)
HYBRID GRENADE GRINDING METHODS: combination of grenade usage and regular weapons.
basic needs and wants:
1: buffs/food/etc.. etc.. etc..
2: a mastery, or proficciancy in some weapon of some kind.
3: grenades (maybe not quite as important as to the damage as in the grenade methods, but why skimp on the damage?)
4: armor
5: solo group
(basically, everything you needed in both grenade and non grenade methods combined)
1: HYBRID GRENADE METHOD: SLASH N THROW: Ok, this method is dependant on a few variables. how many combat professions do you have that you wish to yield xp for? being the biggest variable.
It basically goes like this. for every 5k weapons xp, you get 500 combat xp. 4k weapons xp, 400 combat xp, and so on.
start off like the normal steps, attack the lair and trigger the extra spawn. wait till they aggro you. attack the lair once or twice, then take the next steps based on your profession number. if you have 3 master professions (or 3 professions to yield xp for) take a single 5 throw stack of nades, and toss 3 or 4 of the 5 at the lair. continue to kill all remaining enemies with a weapon. get lair to half life, repeat for the remaining 5.
if you have 2 professions, throw an entire 5 throw stack, or 1 stack and 1 throw on the next stack. continue to kill then with weapons, get lair to half, repeat on remaining 5.
if you have but one professions to master, throw 2 or more complete stacks of nades (10 throws for 2 stacks) then continue as with the 2 previous methods. What this does, is since your combat xp is rewarded in regards to your weapons xp (and since all grenade damage is given as raw combat xp) this tricks the system so to speek. doing this for every lair, and by the time you have your 1, 2, or 3 professions capped, your combat will be capped as well (or nearly capped) as opposed to only having 90k for 1 profession, 180k for 2 professions, and 270k for 3. This one takes some practice, becuase you have to fine tune it to your dedication and own taste. some people may like more combat xp in there lairs, in so, just up the amount of nades you use. if your nearing your weapons xp cap and arent close to capping combat xp, remember to throw in a few extra nade tosses next time.
NOTES TO BE NOTED: - Solo groups can be subsitituted with any grouped thing. low or high lvl creatures, droids, etc.. creaturs are better becuase if a droids battery dies while in the group, the xp bonus will dissappear (some may not realize this) it can make for a good alt. to a solo group if nons available.-- THANKS to fyreblayd28 for reminding me of that.
-Grenade methods can be VERY costly. taking into account grenade crates, powerup packs, buffs, food, new armor, etc..try to be well funded before endulging heavily into the grenade methods.)
-C12'S are usable by everybody EXCEPT wookies. srry guys. wookies can however use commando nades. and bug bomb nades.
-Dont pick fights with enemies that give alot of xp if there resists are to high. its better to kill 5 or 6 3k xp guys then 1 or 2 5k xp guys.
-THIS IS A VERY IMPORTANT NOTE! IT CAN BE APPLIED TO EVERY GRINDING STRAT LISTED, AND SHOULD HELP WITH IT AS WELL. YOUD BE SURPRISED HOW MANY PEOPLE DONT KNOW ABOUT THIS:
Run up to the lair and tap it to trigger the extra spawn. use your prefered method to kill all the visible enemies, peace the lair and leave it be. continue to your next mission, and do the same thing. then head back to your previous mission, and attack it and finish it. Like i said, lotta people know this. alot dont. but its here just fyi.
*GOOD CREATURES TO GRIND ON AND THE CLASSES THAT HITS EM HARDEST*:
Hurton Stalkers: dantooine. in a solo group, can milk 15 from a lair. ill load up swg creatures a little later to get their stats, but they are fairly low resist to most things, making them good griding. xp varies from 4100 to 5k per with up to 500 combat xp per. good professions to hit these with: rifleman, swordsman, tkm, fencer, pikeman (theres not much that isnt good against stalkers really) missions are 11k. Also a good npc to use the "grenade tricks" on. 20% vs blast, 9600ham
Giant Baz Nitches: dathomire. solo group, around 15 per lair. again, similiar xp to stalkers, except can go into the 5100 range occasionally. lil tougher then stalkers, but only becuase of increased ham. still cake for nearly any combat profession. missions are 11k. Also a popular grenade grinding mob. 25% vs blast 10500 ham
Rancors (to many variants to list, just rancors ingeneral will be described):With more ham then other grinding mobs, and higher resists, their not the best thing to grind on for many professions. mostly i see rifleman, swordsman and the occasional tkm grinding on these. things like pistoleer and fencer just cant kill them fast enough to make it worth it unless you have really nice weaponry. xp ranges from 4500 to 5200 per. the payouts are nice however, with enraged rancors giving 39k missions in a full solo group.
Mokks/jants: not really to good for xp so to say, they give around 5k per. Do em mostly for the money and loot and any xp you get on the side is extra goodies. upside is a mastered profession can lay waste to the npc's and lair in 5 minutes or less. tkm's make short work of them.
quenkers: normal quenkers are very easy, low payout missions at around 8k and only give around 3k xp. the higher up quenkers however, give the 5k xp we love to get. even though their still fairly easy, imho i feel they still take to long to make it worth it. i see stalkers as a better alternative. most professions do well against them.
Pikets: used to be the mainstay of grinding. upside is their mission payouts can be fairly high, and lots of pikets spawn per lair. lair payout can be up into the 20k+ range. xp anywhere from 3k to 5200 per piket (fierce piket protectors reaching 5200, female pikets hitting around 3-4k) rifleman and swordsman slaugher pikets like no tomorrow. other professions can be good to, after swordsman and rifleman however i feel tkm is the next best in line. never experienced pistoleer or commando or anything first hand.
Gaping Spiders: I havent personally tried these, but they should be good. zero blast resists, what more could you ask for when using c12's. im not sure about how much xp they give, but thanks for the heads up panther. 0% vs blast 8500ham
other will be added later.
POPULAR GRINDING POI'S:
Death Watch Bunker: *CAUTION, SKILLED LVLERS, OR LARGE SUPPORTIVE GROUPS ONLY. MOBS CAN GET EXTREMELY DIFFICULT.*
Located at -4671 4327 on Endor (shuttle into smugglers post for closest launch point to the dwb). Home of the mando armor, super battle droids, etc... its a good place to lvl, as there are lots of fast spawns and high xp amounts for the right groups.
Geo Caves: Fast respawns, high xp, nice loot, and ackley at the bottom. what more could you ask for. i reccoment one of the following professions to maximize your geo cave experience: swordsman, rifleman, tkm (with other defensive backing) or speed/accuracy capped pikeman. you need something that can either quickly take down 1 on 1's or hit lots of spawns at a time. location: yavin IV at -6494 -418. shuttle into labor outpost to be closest.
Fort Tusken: Decent spawn rate, loot can be good at times if your lucky, and its always fun to kill tuskens. Also good place to go for the knight trial to kill several tusken raiders. listed as a poi on tatooine. Most servers should have a city near there by now, but if not, shuttle to espa for the closest location to start at.
NOTE: The geo caves has indeed been fixed. thx for the confirmation on whether it was still good xp or not panther.
VARIOUS NON POI DUNGEONS TO GRIND. I WILL 4 STAR THE ONES I KNOW CAN BE GOOD.LISTED BY PLANETS.:
Tatooine:
Squill Cave: located at 64, -81 (0,0 will also bring you very close as well) located at the bottom is the hermit for the hero quests, alot of npc's spawn in this cave. and the spawn rate is preety good even after thefixspawn speed. Giving up to 5100 per kill, i reccomend a area hitting move or profession to maximize xp per hour, but it seems almost any profession can get good xp here, with swordsman rifleman and tkm being the best (what else is new right?) Entha or Bestine is a good starting point if no player city is near. **** 4 star approval on this one.
Beetle Cave: 6551, -1323. never been there, might be good might not. but its a static spawn thats a possibility for grinders.
Naboo:
Vermok Cave: 5702,1544. never been there. no info on this cave.
Pirate Base: -1464,-1708. never been, no info available.
Narglatch Cave: 5838, -4666. According to prometheus (thx) he said the narglatch cave spawns once an hour, and yields about 100k weapons xp per clearing. not exactly good. but ill list it none the less, since technically it IS an option.
Lok:
Droid Cave: 3317, -4901. lot of droidikas and various other comabt bots. never tried it as a grinding area, but its fun to check out. (also listed as a poi, but i dont feel the xp would be enough to list as a viable poi grinding area)
Canyon Corsair Camp: -3792, -3904. Lot npc's spawn here, but the xp payout isnt as good as one would hope. still an interesting visit for a walkabout (ask if you dnno what a walkabout is)
Blood Razor Base: 3610, 2229 never been there. no info available.
Dathomir:
Singing Mountain Clan: 158, 4524 been there for loot, but not to grind. could be good for both.
Nightsister Fortress(stronghold): -3991, -57. good for loot and a little xp while your at it.
Rancor Cave: -4150 -50 never been there when the cave was full, but its supposed to be a not bad of a place to check for the special rancor required in the knight trials.
Spider Clan Cave: -1200, 6250 never been for xp, just loot. same as nightsisters though, around 5k per kill.
Rancor Valey: Not an actuall location, and i dont have an exact waypoint, but heres how to find it. travel to the dathomir lesser sarlacc and headtowards the left hand side of the map. there is a trench (check the ctrl+v map for orientation) that runs up several hundered meters and down for even longer, if you follow it down youll eventually end up near the nightsister vs singing mountain clan battlefield. good xp for heavy hitting professions like swordsman and rifle, gets my 4 star approval ****
Dantooine:
Janta Cave: 7000, -150 confirmed to yield 900k unarmed and around 100k combat to a dedicated grind. a fair way, but not the best.
Llizard Cave: 4154, 5254 never even heard of it, waypoint and name was given by a freind.
Kunga Cave: -200, -400 same description as the janta caves.
Force Crystal Caves: -6200, 7400 dnno why youd lvl up here, enemies are to tough to be good grinding mobs, but its good for loot.
The Warren: -55, -3825 again, not a hotspot for grinding, but important for the force sensitive badges. also, some of the enemies inside give decent xp, and there are several wild spawns in the area surrounding the warren.
im missing some poi's and dungeons on the following planets: yavin iv, endor, corellia, rori, and talus. ill try to get them up asap.
btw. some may think this wasnt needed, but i was bored and thought it would be helpfull to some people trying to figuire out a good way to grind. i plan on adding things like the best creatures to grind on, best locations to grind, poi's to grind, non poi locations, etc..
VIEWER METHODS:(list of players, and the methods or variations of methods they use. taken straight from your post, so try to make it descripive. also, if you wish to not have your method listed in here, simply tell me and it will be takin out asap):
Method by Jubilee64: (slight variation of the hybrid method) As master Doc/RM I run Giant Baz Nitch missions fast till I near my rifle cap. Then I switch to the grenade method for 3-4 lairs to earn the remaining210k combat xp. I leave a little rifle xp to spare for the grenade grind because you end up finishing mobs off that run away with your rifle. This is done well within 1 buff session, and is less headache inducing than trying to average the xp every lair.
Although the rifle missions involve a lot of biking, the increased number of missions done helps pay for the grenades, plus you are using less grenades per combat xp cap as the first 90k comes whilecapping rifles. You then go to the village and convert for 130k force xp. You only need to do this once every other day on average to grind a line per phase.
A good solo group is essential to high lair spawns.
MEDICAL CRAFTING GRIND STRAT!!: Donater wished to remain unknown: get a pet that can do trick2
make macro that does this, not exact, but you get the point (macro named medgrind)
/ui actiontoolbarSlot 00
/tell pet trick2
/macro medgrind
so that it repeats, then stick it in your first toolbarslot. hit f1 6-7 times and your action will be constantly draining about 10 times as fast as a tumbler. I had 4 master docs that could keep up healing me. Get a buddy to do the same thing.
do this just outside the village, takes about 8 minutes to cap med exp (note this doesnt work if you get buffed)
the /tell part is so that you arent constantly spamming and people dont know what oyu are doing
that is it, you can cap medic xp 6-7 times per hour, not too bad

Great guide. I do the two missions where you go to the lair and kill everything wxcept the lair then go to your next mission kill everything then go back to the first one. I usualy get about 200k combat xp for the two lairs using C12's. Five stars.

Yes, it is possible to cap 3 professions in a buff session tried it yesterday with 1 mins on buffs to spare. Good info, had to find out most of that stuff on my own. Wish this guide was posted much sooner

This is a really good guide though I use the hybrid method slightly differently.

Two things to note:
1. Gaping spiders have ZERO blast resistance, make for excellent grenade grinding on dath. Better than Giant Baz NItches.
2. I tried geo caves under the current system. Do not expect any more than 200k exp per hour and that is if NOBODY else is there stealing exp...which they are. THe other mobs are time consuming to kill and not worth taking on. THe only benefit now is random loot and you can still do this without having to run around taking missions and such. I may continue for the sole purpose that I can macro kill and watch TV, read, etc. For exp, it is terrible.
Hmmm, on the topic of Jantas...I was able to get 900k unarmed and 100k combat in a fairly intensive buff session, so it is a fair way to gather exp.
For the average player doing grenades, I have tried the baz nitches and spiders, spiders are better. I can cap 300k combat exp in one buff session which results in the best method I have done since full spawn geo caves. It is boring, click intensive, and not much fun though.
I am master TK. For grenades I am using 800+ damage c12 then adding a power up to them. My BF is 1000 afterwards and the damage to my armor is massive. It is also extremely expensive.
