Thread: Who will leave if phase 4 shifts and u cant get melee def/Ranged speed?

Just wondering who will leave if this bug isnt fixed b4 phase change...
I know i might, who else?

Leaving the game seems a bit extreme for something as small as this. When I cancelled my account a month ago, it was because I just ran out of things to do; PvP was getting rare and boring, I did at least 85% of all NPC quests in the game (yes, even the ones that pay like 50 credits on Talus), and there just wasn't anything to keep my interest up.
Recently with the new announcements my interest is rising a tad so I'm pretty sure I might resubscribe to see the changes, but cancelling just because you can't do a Village Phase? The Devs know about it (see Live Issues Thread) and it should be fixed in a week or so. If you miss it, you'll have to wait nine weeks (just a tad over two months) to do it. Use this time to snag some crystals, pearls, and grind some XP.
Course it's your fifteen bucks a month but quitting because of just this is a bit extreme, in my opinion.

I think leaving the game over it is a tad bit extreme. There are 7 other branches you can get towards unlocking Jedi. And there is always the possibility of doing it the next time it comes around, although the wait would suck.
However, I think the devs will get it fixed before the Phase ends. If they don't, there will have to be some sort of compensation such as a free unlock for those who were bugged and could not take the mission. They still have 2 weeks to get it fixed and it doesn't take that long to do with a decent size crowd of players at the village as well. I got all but 6 pirates in one night on Wanderhome before I took a 6k hit to the mind from a thug and died. Got the last 6 the next night.

I am thinking of leaving yes.
Maybe then i also get a new social life too .... lol
I realy was looking out for the new things getting into the game, but now i dont know what i will do.
And i am not that interested in the jedi. Just the new toon attracts me much much more.....

leaving would sanction the way we are treated rather than the fact we can't unlock, if there had been some communication maybe I wouldn't think this way, but I'm even more frustrated to see that SOE doesn't give a damn about all this, as they hotfix something as unimportant as the no decay reward only one day after the patch, while we keep on waiting for something we have invested so much time in. I have the xp banked to fill this tree and maybe if they allowed to transfer this xp on another skill then maybe it would be worth looking into a different quest, however I already asked that and they won't do it either, plus melee is an important factor for a jedi. I am angry at being treated like dirt, it is one problem too many which makes me consider quitting, because all the frustration accumulated is not what I expect from a game and the fun one can take out of it does not make up in any way for this amount of frustration. And when I see that a csr last night manually unlocked the tree for players with this problem and then was told by management cannot do that, I find it disgusting because they have the solutiion to stop this frustration pile up but deliberately disregard it and favour the status quo. This is disgusting and appalling from them, that is all.

Moreover leaving, may subconciously be what the devs want you to do.
This game has literally become KOTOR online. So many freaking jedi in a timeline when there was only two alive. (Not including Vader, the emperor)
And whats worse? 90% of the people who arent jedi are desperately trying to become one. Yeah I am too, though not religiously. I have 4 trees unlocked, but hardly have grinded at all. Ill do that when i friggin get around to it.
Bottom line, the more of you that unlock and become jedi, the worse this game is going to get.
Just a theory, but Just in case your wondering why a simple fix to a simple problem has taken a week and still isnt done.. This is why.. SoE doesnt want to see any more jedi. Im inclined to agree with them. Is it fair? not really. But in practicality if they were blocking FS grinders from becoming jedi purposefully. Then I wouldnt argue with them on it if they admitted it.
Just because I cant swing around a lightsaber and hide in PA halls from Bounty Hunters doesnt mean i cant still have fun in this game.

then in that case I would be perfectly happy with a proper statement saying that they want the jedi population growth to stop, rather than letting people think they can become jedis yet screwing them over by hiding the fact it is never going to happen.

if you feel likeleaving the gamebecause you are confronted by obstacles then you probably should because there will be many more. especially for jedi.
to overcome obstacles is why i play.

When will you people understand that this is not about jedi anymore, or quitting the game, it is about being answered when we express our concerns for this, players affeted by this bug are surely ready to accept ingame obstacles as long as their path is not paved by some programing bugs preventing them from advancing at all. In this case what we want to hear is what is going on and how is the situation being looked into, in a word information. What you say is not the issue here.

im with this guy totally its not like they are saying ok since your bugged go solo an elder, solo a ancient, go solo darth freaking vader no they arent saying any of that.....they arent saying ANYTHING AT ALL thats why im upset also and i hate to says this but when this first happend to me i went to WoW and im enjoying the game id hate to leave all that i have worked for here on SWG and i love SWG but they need to take a step back and say "hey, lets fix all the major known bug issuses that affect numerous players b4 we work ANY more ona CURB or intorducing new weapons or armor or ANY other patch" that kinda thing would make sense but no....and yes i said it WoW
