So Jedi isn't that hard? Certainly not what I hear, between having to be careful to avoid picking up visibility, to possible hit squads after you when you do get on the terms, to millions of Jedi xp needed being gained at Novice Brawler level to start with, it sounds pretty hard.

I will grant that I would probably be more upset if I had the xp banked and needed this quest to get Jedi. But I certainly wouldn't contemplate quitting over it. There are still two weeks left in this Phase. With the number of people bugged (including my Scylla char), there will be plenty of others to do kill the sith with once the bug is fixed. Plus I've seen others who weren't bugged say they will go back and help too. And if by some chance it doesn't get fixed. SOE will HAVE to provide some compenstation to avoid public outcry. Either by extending the length of Phase 4 or by unlocking those that were bugged.

And they have acknowledged the bug offically. It's in Tiggs' daily issues threads:

I will, in fact I am ready to leave now regardless because of the way it was handled. Anyone know how I can get out of my year long prepay, as in get a refund?

And whats worse? 90% of the people who arent jedi are desperately trying to become one. Yeah I am too, though not religiously. I have 4 trees unlocked, but hardly have grinded at all. Ill do that when i friggin get around to it.

Just a theory, but Just in case your wondering why a simple fix to a simple problem has taken a week and still isnt done.. This is why.. SoE doesnt want to see any more jedi. Im inclined to agree with them. Is it fair? not really. But in practicality if they were blocking FS grinders from becoming jedi purposefully. Then I wouldnt argue with them on it if they admitted it.

Just because I cant swing around a lightsaber and hide in PA halls from Bounty Hunters doesnt mean i cant still have fun in this game.

then in that case I would be perfectly happy with a proper statement saying that they want the jedi population growth to stop, rather than letting people think they can become jedis yet screwing them over by hiding the fact it is never going to happen.

The bug has nothing to do with whether the Devs want more Jedi in the game.

It's just a bug, plain and simple. And it seems like it's difficult to pin down, possibly because they can't just reset Sarguillo, or else someone who never took a mission last Phase 4 just unlocked Ranged Speed THIS Phase 4, bam they unlock Melee Defense this Phase 4, too - and unlock 2 branches in one Phase.

I know all this is frustrating, but leaving is your choice. I will say that the Padawan Trials are buggy - sometimes you'll have to restart them because NPC's disappear. Regardless, when you fire up your lightsaber, it's going to be very rewarding. You won't do much damage (it's like being a n00b at any combat profession) but you'll have a LOT of fun.

All I really want to say is that this isn't some SOE conspiracy to reduce the Jedi population, just hang in there and they'll make things right.
