Thread: Just how bugged *is* the Melee Accuracy quest?
But I'm still a bit confused; what bugs are there? More importantly, are there workarounds? >_>

Here is the problems with it.
#1) 2 Hour Respawns on Bases. With only 2 mabye 3 viable bases to escort from, the wait time is horrible.
#2) His Terrain Negotiation sucks really really bad. And we all know Dathomir's terrain. He can climb hills but its super super slow. Its better if you take him up them at a angle. If its too steep and he gets stuck, he just stops then starts to walk back toward the base and you have to click Follow Me on his radial menu.
#3) I completed a base 6k to the South West but only due to the flat ground except for 2 hills. Even this was so incredibly close, he started dying 4 steps from Capt. Sarguillo but I walked forward and got credit.

Did it with a partner on Infinity today (didn't know him before so we're not a trained team
). The key to success was...
a) ... getting the waypoints to the four closest bases from the stickied FS post (base waypoints in SE quadrant of Dath)
b) ... driving to all four bases to find out about their names (happened to be Xi, Beta, Lamda and Mu)
c) ... killing a bunch of Sith Shadows to find a remote for one of those bases (the hardest part... we had to kill a lot)
d) ... taking out the outerturrets while the shield was still up (saves time)
e) ... killing the 5 Sith Shadows (easy)
f) ... waiting for the despawn of the Sith Shadow guys (didn't work too well... they despawned and we ran to the gate when 5+ new Sith guys *immediately* spawned behind our backs shooting us from behind... we blew the gate, ran inside and both hid in the Commander's tent)
g) ... waiting for next despawn. It worked rather well at first, ... we got outside but I (who had the job to bring down the shields) got incapped near the base. Not sure if it was my incap or if my partner ran too far away from the Commander but the Commander walked back inside. The spawn was still rather low though and so my partner went back in solo (turrets and gates were gone from 1st try still, of course) and he recaptured the Commander no problem.
h) ... walking the Commander back to Aurilia. It was really annoying because he still only walks and we had to kill/avoid (concussion shot FTW
) numerous waves of Sith guys.
I'm not sure when the 1 hour timer (to death of the Commander)starts but if it is from the moment you take the shields down then we didn't have much time left (I scrolled up and checked... we had maybe 5 minutes left at most if the shield takedown is what matters). We did the Beta base on Infinity which is not the closest one to the village. The closest one is Xi at 2200m and Beta is at a little over 3000m. I'm glad we made it... it was quiteexciting

This was pre-CU however buffed and done with a speed capped Rifleman and Pikeman. If we got attacked we could kill them quickly.
You can make it 9k though post-CU you may have to spend a lot of time killing things that aggro you.
Spend some time looting a lot of the Waypoint Datapads and wait till you get one that's 6k or closer to the village and you should be all good.
