I could also do this quest for my final unlock (6th). But I have readand read about it, the bugs, weighed up the pro's and con's and I think its not worth doing. Mainly due to the stupid design of the quest by the DEVS/SOE and so on. Would it have been to difficult for them to design it so when you got the mission from the capt at the village, he gaveeveryone a differentWP straight to a sith base and gaveus the remote for the shields. This would save hours and hours of pointless looting, and everyone camping the same few close bases.

Also the +12 melee acc only gives you a slight chance of notmissing, and as for accuracy VS enemies defense, it is said that the +12 gives you approx +4pts moredmgper swing of saber(well worth the strees).....not!

Could someone explain how you can wait for it to come round again and do it when your Jedi if you do another quest instead. As i thought that after you get 6 trees and are Jedi you cannot surrender any FS skills unless you drop padawan. Or do you mean that you could just unlock a 7th branch aswell and then use another 4 SP.If so wouldn't this mean your Jedi templete would loose 4 SP,I know that you need to spend 206 SP (inc x2 full Jedi trees ) in Jedi first to be able to start Knight trials, So, 24 SP in FS trees + another4 SP (7th FS tree)= a total of234 SP,so would this be ok to use another 4 SP for your FS skill trees, which would give you 7 in all?

You have to keep 6 total FS branches, it doesn't matter if they are the ones you unlocked originally to becomea jedi. So, you can unlock a 7th branch, train it up, then drop a branch you do not want, thereby still only having 6 branches.

exactly. as long as you have 4 spare skill points, you can train a new FS branch then drop the one you don't want anymore.

as long as you have 6 at all times you are ok.

I did it on Ahazi pre-CU. Took 3 tries, all 9k away. First time something bunked and we needed to start over. 2nd time he died from poison 300m outside the Village. Made it last time. All were done walking.

This was pre-CU however buffed and done with a speed capped Rifleman and Pikeman. If we got attacked we could kill them quickly.

You can make it 9k though post-CU you may have to spend a lot of time killing things that aggro you.

Spend some time looting a lot of the Waypoint Datapads and wait till you get one that's 6k or closer to the village and you should be all good.

Pre-CU Escorts didn't walk as slow as they did know. Somehow they got glitched where they seem to walk at the slowest pace as opposed moving a little faster when you pick up speed. I've noticed on other quests too. On the JSF quest I had to baby that AT-ST the whole way there, couldn't keep up with me. (This is suppose to be a Scout Walker.) Had to keep making stops for it to catch up with.

So last night the guildies and I go to do this quest, theybeing sweet enough to helpme and a partner to unlock. I had heaps of remotes handed to me by a buddy and told the coords and name of closest base, omikron. We have no trouble with turrets, sith, nor the capture and head on out merry way.

I believeour sith commander had one too many knocks to head as the concept of moving up or down a hill if not in line of site of me seemed totally foreign to him. Maybe he hijacked a lambda to get to the base I dunno. But I must have ran back to him and told him to follow me over 2 dozen times. I never got more then 20m ahead on flat ground, or he'd stop- hills it was more like 12m. I have had heaps of people tell me everything I did wrong but this is not the first time I've done this quest, I helped others, including partnering with someone and even with just us two we had no troubles.

Of course he died 700m away from the village.

The second closest delta again no troubles, seemed to be going well. This guy was a trandy and I have a feeling he was a bit less thick then the last cause i could get up to 40m and he still knew to walk forward. he was better with hills til the very last one where he promptly died, the one hour in.I could see the mist for village *cry*

Our third try was a base ridiculously far away, maybe 4k but we had the remote. However it was bugged, no turret and no way to open it. I hear Psi has been bugged on Valcyn since the phase started.

So I logged, broken and defeated, and I guess I'll try again tonight since I can't take another quest but really.. but wth? Why can't he walk up or down a hill withoutrigorous caddle-prodding motivation?

A group from my Guild and I attempted the quest On infinity over the weekend. On saturday night we had a full group and had remotes for the 3 closest bases (XI, Beta and Zeta). only one that was not being camped was zeta (5.6k away from the village). After a little confusion on direction at the begining we got underway. 2 Steps away from the Village enterence the commander had top himself!! we were gutted!!

Tried again sunday night, this time with a group of 6. The same as before 2 closest bases were camped, so we went with the 3rd (again!!). Less confusion at the start, we kept him moving, half way along he looses sight of the leader and turn back. this happens twice. .... We arive at the village, this time we were able to get inside and the guy starts to gargle. The leading player runs to the captain ... and what do you know Quest Successful!!!!

So i think the absolute limit is about 5.6k until this guys gets some new trainers and burst run.

Hi

Thanks to all that answered my question regarding the FS skill trees/SP etc.......

I will do luck which will give me my 6th unlock, then I'm going to wait for melee acc to come around again and hopefully by then the bugs/issues would have been rectified. This sounds like an option that you all should consider, with the current state of this Quest, butI guess itdepends what stage and how you have planned your unlocks !

Thanks again

Oh yes it is. Bugged turrets ftw.

I did it on Farstar, no bugs at all.

Did it in under an hour with a group of four of us.

Closest base is Chi, which is just under/around 3K from the Village.

managed to do 'Beta' at the weekend.

Send a pet in to kill the turrets (Droid for me) and they dont fight back. The sith arent a problem with a reasonable size group.

Im sure we took more than an hour too.. so maybe they extended it (?). Both people got the LS crystal and the useless buff crystal.
