I have been a loyal customer of Star Wars Galaxies since day 1. I kept the same character for the first year of the game, Mastering a total of 18 professions, 4 of holocron professions. In March, i cancelled my subscription to the game because i felt that there was a lack of content and the obtaining Jedi was too aggravating for me to achieve After mastereing 18 professions and countless hours not unlocking, that was enough. In early July i re-subscribed to the game, to await the long anticipated new Jedi system. However, i had stripped my old char down, and the skills were all disconfigured due to all of the grinding. So i deleted the character, and made a new one on the same server different species. The new Jedi system is supposed to convert all the credit you had under the old system. However this does not apply to me for ALL the credit I had obtained has been voided because I made a new character. I would have never changed it if i was more informed on how the system worked. I had no evidence that my progress would be erased for making a new character. Now, under the new system, i have to wait 6 cycles and 6 tiers before i can obtain the FSS when i should have at least 4 or 5 done because i did four required professions plus 14 more. I regret to say that if I am not compensated for the many hours i have input into the game, i will be forced to cancel my subscription once again. I feel that having to go through a grind a second time because I was uninformed is unacceptable.

i agree that this does not seem like a fair treatment. i think what you should do is send a CS ticket out in-game and you should also email the Customer Service people at SOE. they will have a record of your character and im sure they will be reasonable, seeing as you were unaware that by deleting your old toon, you were deleting all the progress you made with that toon.

Oh God. What next? "Does it seem fair to you that I just created a character a minute ago and he's not a Jedi Master with a Millenium Falcon?" Please. YES, it's 100% fair that you cancelled your account (and they were kind enough to keep it around for you) and that then you deleted it and had to start from scratch. Yes, it's fair that you didn't use your brain and instead expected something because you had "done your time" and then didn't get. Sweet Jesus. How old are you? 8? 9? Was "fair" the vocab word you learned in 4th grade today? Ask your Mom and Dad to cancel the account again...

It seems very fair, its your own fault!

I did kind of the same thing, cancelled my account, reactivated after 5-6 six months,but didnt delete my character. But when i logged on again, i was standing butt naked in the middel of nowhere without a penny to my name. I had lost everything, houses, millions of credits, all items including very rare loot. The only thing i had was my skillboxes. wich i was very glad for. Should iget any compesation for all the thingsI lost??? is it fair that I spend so many hours obtaining all this and now its gone?????? YES ITS FAIR!! I cancelled my account, and should be glad that i still had my character after 6 months, and i am glad, that i do.

So plz try to act like a man. and realize that you made a mistake.

first, it does seem fair. You cancelled your account and deleted a character. There is no debate.

But look on the bright side. You say you mastered 4 holocrons. Lets assume, to make this positive, that of the 18 professions, you only did 4 holocrons and none were the secret 4. This means that if you were entitled to free unlocks, you would have gotten 2 free branches.

Now with that in mind, you'd have to grind out 4 branches anyway, so what's the difference if you have to grind out 6?

Just keep in mind that the grinding you will do for these branches is easy, grinding jedi really sucks and with the problems that current jedi have with visibility and BH gank squads, it might actually be better to get your jedi later than sooner.

A friend of mine unlocked between pub 9 and 10, went through the padawan stuff and ended up on the terminals in no time at all. He is already in the hole for 200k of force xp.

So you may want to consider it a blessing, take your time, progress through the village and have fun grouping with other players and having fun. Once you get that lightsaber, you will become a solo player just to survive.
