I didn't see a post like this before... and its probably going to be bumpped off the front page before anyone looks twice at it, but I'm sure someone out there will be thankful that I made some calculations they either didn't know how to make, or didn't want to.

It takes 220,500,000 weapons exp to gain 7,350,000 (30:1 ratio)reflexes or combat FSexp *which works out to 6 branches worth boxes 1 through 4.* This assumes all 6 branches will be in the combat or reflexes sections.

This seems sad... but you get an up side!!! You really only need 3,675,000 FS xp, if you change combat exp at the same time!!! . If you trade in combat exp at the same time as weapons exp you will gain the exact same amount of force exp, thus my conclusion.

Each trip out to the village, you should make when you cap 2 different (or 3 if you're really smart) weapon exp types. For ranged professions *the majority of us* the cap is now 1.2million exp. It used to be 900k, so there is a 300k difference... *1/3, very significant*. I hear non-ranged professions cap out at 1.5mill so... feel free to check it... but to my knowledge 1.2mill is the max for them. You gain 1/10th of combat exp per ranged exp. Thus, per 1.2mill, you will gain 120k combat exp. It is my recommendation you take up 2 different types of ranged weapons xp to gain the most possible from your character. I have taken pistols and carbines. This will enable you to gain 2.4million weapons exp, and 240k combat exp (the cap for combat exp is 300k... so you're almost there anyways).

This means you will obtain 160,000 FS exp per run to the village

All in all, not including the exp required to unlock thetree (ie: Combat Prowess), you should have roughly 46 trips to the village of capped exp. 45.9375 is the actual calculated number... so... lets round up to 50, and say not more than 50 trips to finish off your Jedi slot. Now the run to and from the village takes 30 minutes (to go both ways)so... you have 50 x 30minutes = 1500minutes which ends up being 25 hours in pure running around on your speeder bike alone. It is said to take 40 minutes to cap 1 exp branch *like pistols exp*, so to do 2 would be 80 minutes... 50 x 80minutes = 67 hours. This end total is 92 hours after getting glowy and everything... Thats not a lot... it sounds like it is, but for a game... its really not. This also includes no downtime... so its probably going to be about 130 hours. You could do it in a month. For myself... I'm just handing in scout exp and medic xp at the same time I go to hand in my carbines exp... so it will be a few less trips for myself... I'm sure theres other guides out there, but I think this ones the first one to kinda go through how long its going to take you... any questions or comments toss me a reply, thanks for reading.

With 8 people in your group, all level 80, or close to it... you should not have many problems... If you have a TKA or two, you don't even need any armor...

Personally Rifleman seems to offer the greatest bonus's... seeing as how you can fire from the safest longest distance away. Right now however, I have pistoleer/bh/carbineer... MPistoleer, MBH, spares in Carbineer... you can configure it however you'd like, I don't even know why I have BH at this point because I'm not even interested in Hunting Jedi... Equipment might be a problem... might beee... I don't know... I think what I'll more than likely end up doing is Mrifleman, MCarbineer, spares in TKA.. if not, TKM... this will combine many of the greatest leveling attributes... and I can fill up 3 different weapon types... TKA... Carbineer and a bit of rifleman... won't be the MOST fun, but probably the greatest to grind with...

Obviously someone appreciates my take on the situation... destructive criticism is not welcome, constructive only... thanks.

And BTW... I get 7.1k exp per kill... the buffs I get heal my BF... and many other things you stated as flaws are easily avoidable. This guide does not tell you how I accomplish things... rather that I do. If you cannot find out how, that is not my business... it is yours. In 40 minutes. at 7k a piece is 170 kills... With an 8 person group... theres like 30 things that spawn per camp... EASILY DONE IN 40 MINUTES!!!! Don't hassle me wannabe...

Just to finalize... As for unlocking all the branches and such... I ignored this as time, because it is ungrindable... and its irrelivant... you can do these quests easily in an hour or two... its the grinding that is hard. If you get to your 6th branch and you havent done any grinding, youve made a big mistake... if you start grinding around your 3rd unlock... you should be easily done by the time you unlock your 6th, and that paves the way to jedi... not to mention, I'm not training anything until I get all 6 branches unlocked and the exp to train all of the skills I am interested in.

If you changed your post to say 93 hours, then you'd have time for a snack half-way through.

There are some flaws in the plan, I've done the grinding pre and post cu on different characters with alot of different professions.

Two things, one there are faster ways if you have the right friends, TWO, the BIGGEST ONE, there is a CAP on FS XP now. You cannot unlock and grind it all out and then train it all at last moment. I was warned about that post cu when I thought of trying it. And those FS skill points hurt since they don't add to your CL, so it will most likely go down as you grind, depending on your template. I didn't find good template that gave me a CL80 rating and the FS boxes.

These posts dont really add anything to the game. They upset the bounty hunters that think jedi can be done in a short period, and they upset the new force sensitive that realise that they cant do it in 92 hrs and wonder where they went wrong. There are always good nights when your best buddies with the biggest tanks are online and you go out and the mobs seem lined up from heaven to do insane exp, but for every night like that there are 10 nights when it is quiet and you run 5 minutes between nests that are optimal for your exp. There is no cheat to becomming a Jedi, unless you dish out the cash, you earn the right to play a Jedi in this game.I have never talked to any Jedi who has said he did 92 hrs of grinding, nor do i ever expect too. I do not want to argue the point, but I want the new players to understand to plan 23 weeks and about 800 hrs, if you want to be a Jedi tomorrow go pikeman and forget about it. Using numbers to calculate optimal exp and time although possible is not a simple as the calculations here. One might also work out that you can cross the United Stated in 20 days on foot, but after the first 4 hrs you realise this is folly. Posts that continue to make people think that Jedi can be done in any short period do not help our profession, and I wonder if people who actually post the 12 steps to Jedi in 92 hrs actually have tries these steps.

*shrug* I doubt theres caps on FS exp... but Doug, no one cares... you're entirely wrong... and if I could start a /timer on my character to tell me how long he has been playing, Id show you a screenshot of myself at jedi in less than 80 hours...

Sorry m8, but this theory is just a dream. You have good intentions and all, but you are missing very key points to all this. I'll just point out a few that you cannot avoid. First of all, you are talking 92 hours of just plain grinding and running back and fourth to the village, and in the real game you cannot just do that. From the way you make it sound, you log in and your grinding before your character even loads on your screen. You have to take time to find groups, make sure that the people in the group can actually HELP you instead of just being new to the game and grinding their own profession, and then everything from there would have to go flawlessly to make this kind of idea work. No despawn lairs, no slackers in the group, no one going AFK at all, LD, all those problems that we all have. Once the lair was destroyed, your people would have their bikes at the next location ina matter of seconds?? Come on.. you have to admit that this will always remain a theory.

Second, you CANNOT just grind with any character unless you are just super rich. I don't know about you, but I don't feel like spending 100 million credits on all the ADK's it would take for all my armor and weapons to never decay (so you dont have to spend time buying new ones) It will take time for you to go make money, buy good weapons to make this grind go faster, armor to protect your ass from dying, and all the other things that you do.

Third, and this is pretty much to the willpower of the player, who in their right mind can grind ALL the time? I'm sure there are a few who might do it, but on the average people wil not do this. It gets boring as hell, annoying when groups don't work out right, and many other pains which I don't feel like writing out.

All in all, your theory is good and it's some good math, but it will always just remain an idea. When you record a 92 hour video of someone doing this, and actually completing all 7.35 million FSXP, then let me know.

LOL this post is pathetic!! im gonna tell ya this 96 hours...

1st off pre CU i could cap pistols xp in aout 45 minutes doing a poi on lok the cosairs base, 5 k a kill and fan shot and kite get the whole mob chasing ya plus id macro with LLC on Rori doing garyns prowlers and would cap heavy weapons xp in about 4 or 5 hours so i would macro and go to work get home get buffed and go cap out pistols run to village dump xp and cap pistols 1 more time in buff then make my last village run..

i just did my final unlock and ive got 3 boxes left to fill... post CU you dont have those options i did in fact you have less options cause sure i was dropping a few mills on sliced 90% base comp armor and burning weapons thats why i was on a macro missions dont pay enough for what you eat up grinding them and really after i removed the need for money grinding became alot better.

what im saying is that 96 hours is a gross understatement and will discourage more than help your not taking in account the 30 + minutes it takes you to put a group together and not to mention most groups really only last a few missions plus the missions CL's change from time to time theres alot of waisted time involved in grinding far more than 96 hours in 18 weeks and if your on low pop server count your blessing if you get a group on the week days on off peak hours. ive got a few toons on low pop servers i cant master a skill like pistoleer that took me 2 days to masterpre cu so how did you even come up with this moronic 96 hours.

nah man tell ya what let me make my jedi and then ill sell to ya on ebay after you give up in defeat after you see your living in false hopes im only here to finish what i started before i walk away then after that my account is sold or giving to my nephew or toast i hate the CU and everything this game has become.. my advice to all the new FS peeps dont listen to this moron its gonna take you months we had all the exploits in the world. nades, macros, godly buffs we could solo huge mobs and dragons and it was still a long hard grind of boredom.. i feel sorry for you people that want it so bad it hurts cause its gonna hurt and its gonna be a long hot summer and long cold winter before you get there.....
