Thread: Village Complete! Time to Role Play my Jedi, not grind.

I took my first step in SWG in Sept of 03'. Finally have my Jedi after completing the village. The grind was horrible but I endured. Am I ready for the next grind? No. This is why I'm going to role play my Jedi all the way. Trust me, if it takes me 3 or 4 months to master saber, so be it. No showing off the glow stick, almost always in solitude, role playing it all the way down to the bone. Only interaction I'll have with my friends is sitting around the cantina's and conservating or I'll pick up a basic pistol and hunt with a group of my friends just for the hell of it (no saber presentations in their presence or anyone's).

I would like to thank everyone who contributed to these boards. You know who you are. Those that have been the most helpful to everyone and anyone, thank you for assisting me directly or indirectly. Without your help I would have had an awful time trying to get to this point. I will continue to come to these boards and follow the examples set by those that came before: To assist in anyway possible to everyone who asks and find themselves in the same position that I, and others before me, were in atone point in time. Thank you very, very much to all contributors.

Sweet! That's the way, IMHO, it should be done but everyone has their style and goals. It's all about what you like.

Same here I unlocked recently and am taking time to sit back and enjoy. Might be a year before I finish my template, but I don't care

I just want to be able to wield my lightsaber. I will be so happy with just that accomplishment that I doubt I will even care about what amount of skill I have with it to start. Besides, I need a break from the fs grind so that I can enjoy the game again. I also need time to finish mastering Pilot, so it will probably take me another 6 months to master lightsaber as well...

That is actually a really good idea, instead of frusturating your self with the grind, just have fun which is the real meaning to any game. Im looking forward to doing the same thing, role play my character and have fun. Thanks alot Prometheous.

Your welcome my friend. I just wasnt' having fun with the whole grind fest. The fun was lost when the holos where introduced and I admit I fell victim to it and so did my guild. I'm now the last of the Mohicans of what once was a very great roleplaying guild with about 25 members. Everyone started to focus on the grind and we were divided by the demands we unfairly placed on ourselves. Don't want to see this happen again.

I'm actually thinking of started up the guild again based on roleplaying where non-jedi guild members will keep the identity of the jedi members in secret and so forth. But time will tell.

Grinding is a Double edged sword... I remeber doing the Holo Grind and I hated it, I unlocked just after pub 9 so I had a month or two to not grind and I started getting twitchy with not having anything to work on.... So I finally get Jedi and I hated that grind even more.... now she's a DJK and nothing left to really grind.... so twitch twich I go....
