Okay I have a small debate going on with my brother. He says that the so called FS slot is just an addition to the HAM bar. I say that you get to retain your first character and get a new slot. Which of us is correct?

It's a new character you can create as a second character on the galaxy you opened the slot on. That is the current theory at least, mostly backed by dev quotes.

It is not just a change to your character. Your main character remains unchanged.

addition to the HAM bar????

OK, this is how it works.

For each server you get 1 char to have there.

If you unlock your FS slot, you get to have 2 characters on that server. One being your normal one, and the other being your FS character.

That means you will have to make another character in the character creation, and that will be your FS character, While you still have your normal character..

easier explanation:

Its like Diablo II...you got up to 6 Char to keep on there.

Except for this, you start out with 1. and after doing stuff, you get to choose from 2.

I'm Going to Holo grind when i finish out BH, but i was talking to a couple friends about FS slot and one said that the FS slot is on the server you unlocked it on

is that true? if it is it would be awsome to have two chars on one Server and not have to delete my main char if i want to play Jedi on the server my friends are on

Just out of curiosity, once I unlock my FS Slot and create a Jedi, what happens when I delete the Jedi? Does the Slot stay available for a new Jedi, or is it gone?

I've been away from Galaxies for over a year now. I've read through most of the walkthroughs on how to become FS and eventually become a Jedi.

I'm still a bit confused how the FS slot works. When I played originally a year ago you "unlocked" a FS slot in which you could create a new character in that would be force sensitive. From what I've read it seems this is no longer the case. Is the character you become FS with the new way automatically set to occupy your FS slot. Also, if I become FS then delete my character will I be able to start a new character in the FS slot and start with the Jedi profession available?

You now develop your main as the FS character, upon reaching Jedi Padawan (which is also the point at which you cannot give up the jedi skills) you gain a second slot. The second slot is a brand new character equivalent to any starting character (complete blank slate). Deleting your FS character will not allow you to start with the Jedi profession available, it would cause you to have to start from scratch again (and I am unsure as to what effect this would have on your second slot. If you want you can also develop your second slot into being FS in the same way you made your main that way. But your main would remain force sensitive.
