Ok, I know some people will like this, and some won't. Me, as well as others, wanted to create a Jedi, not become one. I wanted to start this petition to see if we can change that. I messed up on my Name, it was supposed to be Jinn Strider, and i found i can do it '' -Jinn Strider-'', so i was looking forward to unlocking Jedi and making a new character....sadly that wasnt the case. Please sign this petition if you want them to let us make our Jedi. Thanks for reading.

I will most likely be hated after this post, but i would rather have fun then be miserable while playing.

/disaggree

Besides the fact you miss out on the nice FS bonus' gained from the grind, it creates problems with continuity etc. Besides, I want my alt to help my main with Jedi stuff, not the other way around

I support it, although I doubt it will happen... because it's too simple to do & would please too many players. An even better solution would be to have a pop-up box asking you which slot should become FS. Everything that has been done with the revamp has been done without the consideration of roleplayers & has instead been geared towards added time sinks & discouraging people from going Jedi. A much better solution could have been come up with to please folks on either side of the Jedi debate... & it would have made playing the game a lot more immersive & fun for us all.

Well, as for roleplaying, when Anakin became a Jedi in the movies, did Anakin become Jedi? Or was it *random guy no. 4 'somewhere over there'* that became it?

Enough said IMO

But, the point is that Lucas knew that he wanted Luke to be the Jedi when he created him, & no Hollywood producer came in halfway through the script & told him it was going to be "random guy no. 4" instead &Luke's name couldn't be changed...

Stupid comeback that doesn't make sense at all. Adoraz's post says it all. Plus from a role-playing stance it just doesn't make sense. The whole story of the Village and the exit quests would be voided if the unlocked slot became the Jedi. Regaining whatever template you had with your main isn't hard at all. In fact it's probably easier and faster than a few jedi boxes.

Also.. You had your chance to have your alt as a Jedi back before Publish 9..

If you have palyed this game long enough you should know it is far from anything like the Star Wars we know and love. Much less, but many do not roleplay

read the posts a little more, its not Rocket Science to understand that most people dont roleplay and this game isnt anything like SW.

Someone explain why it would make sense that after going through the Village with your main character, your new character would be the Jedi.

It doesnt have to, its a game, and far from movie comparison at that. I would rather make a Jedi and train it thatn have my current character become Jedi.

So you're saying that because players don't roleplay that the game shouldn't try to maintain the Star Wars continuity? Changing the system to "alt as Jedi" would only make the game less like Star Wars and would kill the continuity even more. Is this what you want? If it is, just say so in your topic and I'm sure theSOE and LucasArtswill agree that it's a great idea..

look at the GCW, its not moving and its in a lame period, and we all have our opinions on how we want the game to be, and right now i dont see much SW in SWG. I agree that it doesnt make sense, but many people had wanted to make their character a jedi, rather than have their current one become one. That is what i started this thread, and i knew the consequences, and you are entitled to your opinion. I just think it is better to create one than evolve into one.
