To anyone that got free unlocks...how did you do it?


I went and talked to the Rhodian in the center of the village. When I chose the option for what skills am I ready to learn, he said Nothing. Should I be choosing a different option from the conversation menu?


Unfortunately I got my Sith visit during the brief period that the server was up this morning, so I didn't have much time to play before they went back down again. I've been searching for a post on this and haven't found any explanation so far...


Can anyone remember what option you used in order to get your free unlocks?

Its one of the last two cant remember exactly but it will take you to a screen listing all the FS skills and tell you at the top how many free unlocks you have.

If you dont get this screen then you dont have any free unlocks.

Thanks, but I find it hard to believe that I did 4 holo profs and 24 profs overall, and that I get no free unlocks. There was a doc at the village that was buffing and he said that several people had beencomplaining ofthe same problem. Anyone else have that problem thismorning? Just wondering if it was a problem with this morning's "maintenance"...

You do get the free unlocks if your jedi was createdbefore DEC 03 if you created afterJan 04 you actually had to find 8 hidden professions instead of 4 so that puts you out of the free unlock tree..


If not then try speaking to the guy with a name begining with P and goto the 5th option down he will then let you choose which to unlock..

do them one at a time and train in them otherwise you will cap out..and lose the free fsxp he gives you...


I did 23proffs and had 2 holo profs before i went silent.. I got 5 unlocks even with that its going to take me a month to level the last branch I need to unlock padawan trials...

Some people are getting free FS unlocks for their previous hologrinding. However, I've been hearing about free unlocks for those who've mastered a lot of professions? Were they just refering to mastering a lot of professions as doing that for holocrons...or do you actually get free FS unlocks if you've done a lot of professions?

And if so, how many professions per tree?

I've deciding to try out the FS trails so ive been reading the FS fourms for the last few days and ive been hearing about "free unlocks".


Now im assuming they are free lvls or somthing similar but can somone explain to me or show me a link that explains how u can get these and what exactly they do unlock?

Directly from my FAQ/Guide:



  • Can you still use holo's to unlock?
    No, that was in the old system, holo's now act as force stims for Jedi.
  • How many free unlocks will I get
    Depends how many of your 8 needed professions to get Jedi you did. Number of secret profs - 2 is the formula (so all 8 get you 6 unlocks, where as 3 gets you 1)
  • Where do I get my free unlocks?
    Talk to Paemos, it's the fifth option if you have unlocks [Don't forget to train right away or you'll have capping issues]
  • I unlocked my jedi pre pub 9, do I get free unlocks?
    NO.

    Has anyone got more detailed info on how the free unlocks work? Ive read a little in the FAQ post but would like to know what you have experienced personally about this.

    Also, does the Old Fart need a server reset to visit you?

    supposedly you dont need a reset but it took me a 2 days for him to come. when i first went to the village I had one free unlock. I talked to paemos, i think it was an option like "i am interested in learning new ways to use thhe force" or something. that conversation option will only be there if you have a free unlock. if you do he unlocks it and dumps 1.25mill xp in the branch for you to train all the boxes. noldon does the training though, paemos converts xp for you after that. good luck on your quest and upcoming grind. may the force be with you, as long as you are a rebel.

    Any ideas about what specific proffs give you the unlocks?
