Thread: Any plans to fix Ranged Speed and Ranged Accuracy ?

In fact, its sad to say, but it would better for jedi to be if it stayed that way as you ll need melee speed and acc for your Jedi but not range... An you ll be able to take melee def in phase 4 instead of range speed
course for range professions who dont want to get jedi its a bore ...

Hi all,
There are some threads about those skills being broken but to my knowledge no one made an officialstatement about or WHEN or even IFthey will ever get fixed.
I am sure there are a lot of ranged people out there (mainly rifleman I suppose) that would like to get them instead to be forced to pursue Melee Speed and Accuracy to get ranged bonuses.
So please ket us know if there are any plans to fix them.

Actually melee speed an accuracy bonuses applies to ranged too, so you can get those and you will be fine even if you switch to a melee profession. You will get melee and ranged bonus by mastering 2 branches instead of 4.
The problem is that if you are a pure ranged you will have to drop the melee branch and re-grind for the ranged branch when /if the skills get fixed.

FS skills dont add bonuses to Jedi skills. They only apply to regular combat skills. Sorry folks but if the opposite was true it would be grossly unbalanced for any crafting profession trying to get Jedi.

FS skills DO add bonuses to jedi skills... just most of them are useless. Lightsaber master speed caps so FS melee speed has limited use except for grinding. Melee and Ranged Defence FS skills work fine for Jedi.. but not really that big a bonus. Melee Acc works with LS.FS crafting skills work for jedi when crafting Lightsabers and LS crafting tools. FS Vehicle control works the same for Jedi as everyone else. FS Survival works the same for Jedi as everyone else.

Bump from a rifleman.
With phase 4 about to hit Bria, I've got the choice of melee def or ranged speed. If it's going to be at least another 12 weeks to get ranged speed fixed, then going melee def would make sense. If ranged speed is expected to be fixed in a shorter time, then I'd certainly want ranged speed (no skilltapes here).

Yeah it sure would be nice to get a real answer from someone about this. I asked a CSR once and was told it was working as intended. However it is on the rifleman forums as an issue so I know the devs must be aware of the problem, they just need to let us know when they plan on getting around to it.

I'm master Rifleman with melee speed trained and ... I love this bug 
Damm my T21 shot at crazy speed. I run conceal shot nad head3 like the normal shot, can u immage the devastating damege I do ...??

Perfavorebasta, I do not think you are unpolite but I am thinking about the future: going for melee speed seems to be the obviuous solution NOW....but what will all the rifleman with melee speed do when/if the devs will fix the bug ? You will find yourself with a now useless skill paid with millions of xp, no more enhanced rifle speed and the need to grind millions xp again for ranged speed.
Obviously this argument loose his point if you're just grinding FS branches to become a jedi but many people like me are not interested in become a jedi, we just want to improve our abilities.
What I wish from the devs is a simple statement : ARE YOU GOING TO FIX THIS ? AND IF ANSWER IS YES, WHEN WILL IT HAPPEN ?
There's people here waiting to know how you will handle this problem because actually we are unable to choose what path we need to follow.
Please show some consideration to this community and give us a sign that you even read this boards.
