Thread: Best planet to spawn Mel's base?

Did mine on Lok. Was a nice flat spot he spawned on no hills/mounds and had plenty of room to pull his guards and take out the Crystals.

I understand that the base will spawn on the planet where the old man visits you.
Are there any advantages in choosing one planet over another?

i would try to avoid getting it on dath and lok because they have limited public trasportation. i dont know if a really crowded planet like dantooine would be your best bet either. try to find a healthy medium

I dont think the transportation is an issue. From what I understand mel's base is spawned not too far away from you, maybe a few kilometers which isnt much at all on a speeder.
You should avoid planets with heavy player housing on them, as if your base wp gets spawned in a player structure, you are screwed until you can get some csr help. I will probably be waiting for the old man on SW naboo or Lok for the chilastra server

My friend had the house problem once. One of the green crystals spawned under it, so we sent a r2 droid in

The Mel WP will usually spawn within 1500m of where the old man visits you. Just avoid and heavily populated areas and you should not have any problems with the crystal in the house. If you do, file a ticket under "im stuck" as you will get help a bit faster.

I am goign to be on Talus. I have done many there and it is pretty easy.
I will be camping on Talus for the old man to come.

Thing about having it on Lok is the Kimos.. No matter what planet Mel spawns on you will get agroes with him. With Lok you have to deal with the Kimos as well as the camp.. Just something to consider..

thats very true, although I rarely find Kimos...of course it would be my luck that mel would spawn in the middle of several of them.

I suppose the advantage to having Mel spawn on Dantooine isyou can go stand in the middle of the MO shouting for help, and you'll have about 30 people helping in no time flat.

Well all I can say is I've done it several times for people and every time I've helped them with Mel - Kimos spawn at the camp...
