Thread: Good template for grinding jedi

I had thought Creature Handler would have been useful for grinding towards jedi, but now, with the combat upgrade, you can't solo effectively. I still have respec and need to decide what I want to respec into for good grinding. These skills will also be what I would have when I have padawan. So I would need good defenses too right? And the ability to at first, fight a bounty hunter using normal skills, not jedi skills.


So, any suggestions to a good template anyone?

either mbh/ranged prof or mbh/mranger or tkm/swords/some pikeman


and grenades are still good just not as good as before. they still beat weapon xp, and you shouldnt get commando for grenades either

I'm finding ranged professions better at the moment. I've been playing with respec and have tried:


TKM/MSwords/MFencer


MSwords/MPike/Doc 4xxx


MDoc/MRifle/carb ????


MDoc/MSwords/TK 21xx


MRifles/MCarb/BH x44x


And now I'm on one that I won't tell...I love it too much. I did 2,500 dmg (1 shot) to a lvl 81 bol tonight with it.

TKM all the way if you think about it in the long run. Add 0404 swordman and rest is up to you...TK innate armor and COB will help a lot.

Can MBH and TKM work? Would that be any good?

I have been told by a few people to keep it either melee/melee or ranged/ranged. One of my friends tried that set up and got hit blaster handed to him ona platter!

I run MBH/M rifle/ Pistol 0004, and Im loving it, not so much after the action/food stack nerf tho, but I can solo almost anything , without getting hit, at all. And If i do get hit, duelist stance saves my butt more often then not, having a macro spaming DS every 30 seconds is very nice.

Im an MBH only and I have been doing better then most CL 80 temps I've seen. The only thing Im lacking is hitpoints which is easily solved by buffing, food and spice. So anything combined with MBH should produce good results...

Master rifleman - it will allow you to defend yourself from BH's


Give it very strong consideration, I used it for a long time during my grind and it served me well.


I still have 0/0/2/2 rifles now (the rest is Jedi), it's been tough to give up even for the Jedi skills because it was so much fun.

i would say there is a 99% chance that that is sniper shot (rifleman).

so, the commando 4-0-0-0 is no longer any good?


i was thinking of trying tkm for no armor, commando 4-0-0-0, and the rest in combat medic.

I'm thinking of respeccing into Master Bounty Hunter and Master Rifleman. What else should I spend the points in? If there are much over after that!
