Thread: A strange loot...?

So I did a quest for someone and had to fight an "Untrained Padawan" at the end to get the reward. All I had to do was kill him. Which I did. So after you kill, you return for reward, which was a holocron. But my question is this...


I looted the "Untrained Padawan" and got this.....a "Mystical Orb"


I examine it and it says....


"The powers and purpose of this mystical orb remain unknown.....even to its rightful owner."



So does anyone know the story behind this item....has anyone looted it before, and if so....what is its purpose?

It also has a deterioration level which is 940/940

If it's the mystical orb I'm thinking of, basically looks like a color crystal I think, then it doesn't do anything, it's just a decoration piece and gives off light.

This mystical orb that you speak of, can be combined with another mystical orb to create a lightsaber crystal. You have to travel to the force shrine on the middle/left portion of tatooine for this to work.


Oh, and the other orbs drops off a tusken in the fort tusken trials.

Wow, I haven't read that before. Amazing how many people think that the mystical orbs are just decoration. Is there anything special about this lightsaber crystal? If so, I'll have to keep my eyes open for those two orbs.

I have been to Fort Tusken but only looted regular color crystals, never an orb. And what are the Fort Tusken trials?

These are the trials that you get from the tuskens themselves, you need to go speak with the tusken king oustside of Bestine.

Better start killing jawas if you dont have good faction witht the tuskens, cause he wont talk to you unless you have atleast 1000 tusken faction standing.

You have to combine two items that can only be obtained once per character to get the crystal? Bleh.

Whats the stats on the crystal when its completed? im guessing its like an uber crystal ?

I am not entirely sure what the stats are on it because I was only able to obtain one orb.


The untrained Padawan doesnt always drop the orb. The one I got was from doing the tusken quest, so im going to have to look elsewhere to see if i can find a second half since I can only kill the untrained padawan once.

From what I've read on the jedi forums, any high CL (100 or higher) creature can drop the mystical orb. Most drop from DJK/DJMs. Every thread on this also says that the orbs do nothing, they are just decoration. Where did you get this info about combining them from?
