I also posted this in Jedi

With this new system your main gets the FS. Many people in my guild including me are doing the grind. Many of which are very close. I was wondering if the Devs could bring back the system of the Alt gets FS because. A) it makes the Jedi who want dabble in other profesions work longer making the "uber" jedis more rare. Also some people wish to have thei named changed and when they make jedi they can finally make the name they want on thir "Prized/Sought after" character.
Pls post with coments or suggestions

way too late...

No way would they change back now. I do wish there was an easy way to change name or even race if you wanted to. That'd be nice.

Plus, as i'm about to get my jedi, knowing that I'll have some tk to hang onto while i'm swinging and small animals with my cdef saber..not a bad feeling. Gives newer jedis a chance to survive a gank squad..

Not being able to rename a character that was started before this was implemented is a slap in the face. If I KNEW I were picking the name of my jedi when I got this game over 1 year ago I might of put more thought into it and gave the name more meaning. This is an outrage.

This request was made over and over at fan fest. Most people who were close to unlocking at that time were paniced mostly because they wanted thier new character to be jedi. It sounded like they heard us and we going to allow it. But in the end they did not. My character that I am trying to unlock with is my alt and is a female. I am a male player. I made a female alt so my wife would play on my server. She decided not too play on my server and began the process to unlock on our main account on her server. Being that she is home all day I had no chance of unlocking before her so I was forced to holo grind with my alt account (my female character). I thought when I finally unlocked I would make my jedi a male. Since the life of a jedi is hard (and it should be) once I unlock I may get frustratred with that character and just shelve her for awhile. Better to shelve my alt than my main character.

It will never happen due to all the work put in by the village grinders... like myself, and if they did at this point in the game they would be comitting suicide, there would only be like 3 people playing the game.

Yes but implement a name change process/race change/avatar change process. It's not rocket science....

Can't remember where I saw this on the boards.Might have been from a dev,but they said lucasarts won't allow a race change or name change.Think that statement came out when people were asking if they could change race ,to be one of the new ones that came out.Instead of creating a new character from scratch.

To me it seems bizarre to spend all this time going through all the trials of becoming Force Sensitive and then Initiate for some other toon to take it over. In a game that struggles for continuity this seems to be a sensible choice in terms of character progression. My initial toon is the one who has toiled for this (and continues too). If my names crappy I don't care - I'll be a jedi!!!

Ok hold on...

When you become FS its your main character that becomes Jedi - no problems with that.

Your new 2nd slot character - does this character need to be same gender and species as your main character?

No. The new character can be any race/gender you want it to be. It's a noob and you create it exactly the way you created your current toon.
