The villagers always stop. Anyway to fix this?

This mission is annoying as heck.

Keep them in line of sight. Keep them within about 25 meters from you at all times. If you keep these two things in mind, they probably shouldn't stop at all. Once you figure this out, the only problem with this quest is that it is boooooring.

So walk backwards? I have always remained close to them.

The easiest way to do it, is to go to Options and un-click "Run by default". Start walking with them following you and then just put it on auto-pilot . Also, if they stop, just go back to them and click on "Follow Me" again. They will start walking again. Hope this helps

They will not start walking again if i talk to them. Could be a reflection on my personality, otherwise it is another bug. I know specifically that it is only since the CU this has happened. Anyone completed it this phase in particular?

yeah i have to agree, clicking the player runs by default box and making sure they clear the concrete wall lead to a painless unlock for me

i have tried that but unfortunately it does not work for me. It is rapidly becoming very irritating.

I had the same problem with the escort the wookie quest on Kashyyyk (think it was part of the caged Geonosian quest) - first time I was leading him back I walked the whole way keeping him with 20 metres, at one point he dropped back to 22 and then turned around and started walking back the way we had come. No amount of talking to him made him follow me again so I had to restart.

Pretty annoying...

my m8had the same problem too, he put his radar on 64meters (put mine on 128 meters to scout for red dots for him), he also walked backwards, and stayed within about 40 meters from npc, while moving hold down the shift button too, this puts you in walking mode, release shift button when you want to go back into run mode

Phase 1 Survival is perfectly possible to do, as I completed it myself. A few things to remember when you do it though:

1. Always Walk (not run) when you and the villager are walking through hills, as they are somewhat stubborn with them. If the hill is the least too steep for them, they stop. The trick with steep hill for them is this: do not go down the hill directly, go down by going down diagonally and stay within 10m of the villager in case he stops so u can get him back on track quick.

2. Avoid the other sith spawns you are gonna encounter on the way back to the village.

When you are back on totally flat land, then u can start running till you're 50 or 60m away from the villager, then start walking again, he is gonna catch up to you, and when you are real close to village, you can run all the way to the quest npc (as long as villager isn't 100m far off cause then you fail the escort).

Take these things in mind, and you should succede easilly
